Isabella

No One's POV

    Iroh and (Y/N) were on their way to Republic City. Izumi agreed to a peace treaty with Republic City and with it Iroh and (Y/N) would stay in Republic City for a year and become part of Republic City's defence.
    (Y/N) put his cloak on over his clothes to hide his tail and ears. Whenever Iroh would take him on missions he would always hide his features, so no one could see what he was. He's had a couple of incidents that led to (Y/N) putting assholes in the hospital.
    When they landed they were greeted by Tenzen's family and team avatar while everyone said hello to their friend Iroh. They greeted (Y/N) with him nodding and avoiding every handshake they tried to give. Afterwards Iroh and (Y/N) were given a tour around the island and showed them their rooms, until dinner was ready.
    (Y/N) finished early so he could go ahead and go to bed. He closed his door and started getting ready for bed. He didn't realize his door opened until he felt something touch his tail. He turned around and saw a little girl touching his tail and staring at it in amazement.
    He pulled his tail away and she started tearing up. He gave it back causing her to smile and started running her hands through his fur. He picked her up and she stared at him, then his ears. She smiled while starting to pet his ears and he carried her down the hall. She pointed at her room so he went in and put her to bed.
    He set her down and a little yellow spirit then appeared above the girl and started twirling around her. It then went into her heart and disappeared. She let out a giggle and started dozing off to sleep.
    (Y/N) left and went back to his room. He continued getting ready for bed and got in his bed. He let sleep take over him and was then out like a light.

4 Days Later

    It's been four days and (Y/N) hasn't said a single word to anybody. Everyone was trying to get him to speak, but he never said a word. Korra and Asami weren't trying at the moment because Isabella wouldn't stop crying.
    It got so loud that everyone was trying to calm her down, but nothing worked. Everyone had their hands over their ears, "Somebody shut her up!" Bolin shouted. "We've tried everything!" Korra pointed out.
    Just then (Y/N) walked in and kneeled down to Isabella. He took his cloak off showing his tail and ears. He handed his tail towards her and she stopped crying and started rubbing his fur and started smiling and giggling. He picked her up and she started petting his ears again. The spirit appeared again and began to twirl around Isabella again.
    Everyone was just staring in confusion while Iroh had a grin on his face. "What, what is he?" Mako asked. "He's from the clan of Garou. They were a clan of half wolves and half humans. His clan was killed by Vaatu for their spirit energy. Their are only three of them left that we know of." Iroh explained.
    "Ok, but what is he doing with our daughter?" Asami asked. "He doesn't really talk much, but he shows his emotions with his actions. He doesn't like being pet except for people that he really likes, and that is really rare. A little spirit will show up and attach to the person he likes or dislikes depending on the color. That spirit is yellow which shows protection. Basically if anything happens to Isabella, the person responsible will no longer be able to eat without a straw." "So he will protect her is what your saying." "Yep." "So he's like a free bodyguard/babysitter?" "In a way yes." Asami punched the air, "Yes!"
    Isabella kept petting his ears while in his arms, until Korra tapped his shoulder, "Come on, she has to go to the dentist, that's why she was crying." He nodded and started following Korra towards the dentist, and he got the chance to ride naga.
    When they arrived Isabella went into a different room, while Korra and (Y/N) was in the waiting room. Korra went to touch (Y/N)'s ears but he smacked her hand away and gave her a blank stare. "Not on that level of friendship, got it."
    When Isabella came out she had a sticker and a little toy, "I was good girl at the dentist today." Korra congratulated her while (Y/N) gave a thumbs up. They went back home and (Y/N) just stayed silent and did his own thing for the rest of the day.

Timeskip

    It was the next day and team avatar decided to walk around town and hang out for the day. (Y/N) was walking around the island until he smelled something good. He followed the smell to the kitchen and what he saw was wretched. There were dishes of burnt and somehow runny food that looked beyond inedible.
    The person responsible for this was Ikki as she had her face in her hands, "I can't cook." She noticed (Y/N)  throwing all the food away, "Hey!" He got out a couple of ingredients and vegetables, "Copy." He cut up the vegetables into tiny pieces and put them in a pot.
    He gestured for her to copy what he did and she did. She copied everything he did and what she could tell they were making soup. While they were cooking a little orange spirit appeared in front of Ikki and circled around her. Afterwards it went into her heart and disappeared and (Y/N) answered what Ikki was wondering, "Friendship." "So, we're friends?" He nodded making Ikki smile.
    They got done cooking and they made a big pot of soup with some garlic bread. Everyone got back and smelled the food. Everyone was hungry so (Y/N) and Ikki made everyone a bowl and a piece of bread. Everyone was eating and enjoying the food, "This is really good." Tenzen complimented, "Who made it?" Ikki was about to say something, but (Y/N) pointed to Ikki and said, "She made it." 
    Ikki smiled while everyone else just stopped. "He spoke!" Bolin shouted. Everyone started laughing at what Bolin said and finished eating. Afterwards everyone went to bed, being done for the day.
    Before (Y/N) went to bed he heard a knock from his door. He opened it and was Korra with Isabella, "Hey (Y/N) can you watch Isabella tonight, Asami and I are gonna have special night. Our room is right next to Isabella's so you can kinda see the problem here." He nodded and took Isabella.
    Before Korra left (Y/N) tapped Korra's shoulder and led Korra outside, "What is it (Y/N)?" He picked a plant and put it in a vile full of water turning it into some weird substance. "What is that?" He leaned into her ear and whispered something to her. What he said made her blush, "What!? A-are you sure?" He gave a thumbs up and nodded. "Alright then."
    She walked off so (Y/N) went back to his room where Isabella was on his bed. He got on his bed and wrapped his tail around her keeping her warm. She hugged his tail while she slept and he started dozing off himself until he fell asleep.
