"Why do you think she never told you?" Jahari asked me
"I..... i don't know. To protect me." I said
Jahari came over after school and i told her everything. Well everything my mom had told me. I just feel like i can trust her with everything.
Another thing my mom told me was that my birth mother died giving birth to me. Her name was Carissa.
"Im so sorry babe, I can't even imagine how you feel" jahari said
"It's all good" i said on the verge of crying
"You don't have to be tough babe, cry. It's ok." Jahari said
I don't usually cry in front of people. A sign of weakness, but hearing her say that brought it all out.
I was crying all day, really nothing made me even a little bit happy except Jahari's presence...and the Canes she bought me.
Soon i fell asleep crying again

I woke up to Jahari in my bed knocked out. I was thinking should i wake her up or leave her alone... I didn't know
"Jahari" i shook her
"Hmmm" she said
"It's 10:20, do you want to leave now? I don't want you to get in trouble." I told her
"I already told my people im good. You want me to leave?" She said still half sleep with her eyes closed
"No. But you have school in the morning.i said
She rolled over and cuddled me
"Go to sleep mamas" she said
It was like she put me under a spell because i was out.

The next day i woke up with Jahari gone. I got up and ready for school. putting on a simple white cropped shirt and light washed ripped jeans and red& white vans
