“KT, all clear. KN, YG, move in.”
“Okay.” Taehyung turned back to the scene in front of him, holding a pistol in his hand.
They had just made it through the rather extensive forest that Jeon had. Jungkook had wanted that there were sensors everywhere, as well as snipers and other traps to ensure that intruders didn’t even make it to the facility.
They had been planning for a week, and now they were moving in.
It had taken a week of an impatient Taehyung, pacing around and not sleeping enough. A frantic Jimin and Yoongi, typing and hacking into the systems, trying to get an exact layout of the whole facility they would be breaking into. A closed off Jungkook, trying to keep everyone together and a calm Jin, who was just trying to make better of the situation at hand.
All of them knew that if they messed up, or if something went wrong, then their chances of survival were very limited, but they didn’t care. Well, Taehyung didn’t care. He didn’t know about the others, but they seemed to back him up all of the way.
Yoonbin was their main priority. They needed to get him, rescue him, and try not to be detected. Jungkook had said that that would be near impossible, but they would still try. They had to. Taehyung refused to let his son grow up like Jungkook had, he refused to let his son grow up in any kind of world like this.
Yoonbin would be given a normal life. He wouldn’t be subjugated to training at a young age to take over a mafia, wouldn’t be forced to take a life, kill a man when he was a young child, wouldn’t be beaten, punished, anything of the sort. Taehyung refused to let his son experience any of the things Jungkook had told him about in his childhood.
Taehyung pushed forward with new vigor, adrenaline pumping through his system. The facility loomed in front of him.
Large walls encompassed the facility, seemingly unbreakable and unpassable.
“PJ, they’re going to see us scaling these walls.” Taehyung said into his ear piece. “How are we supposed to get over?”
“HS will make sure you aren’t detected. Plus I’ve put out all of the cameras.”
“The patrols?”
“YG and KS are taking care of those right now.”
“Got it.”
“Don’t shoot the rope up until I tell you to.” Jimin warned through the communication.
“Won’t.” Taehyung assured. He waited, pressing his back against the wall and waiting for his signal.
“This is some Indiana Jones shit, right here.” Jimin laughed through the link. “I can’t wait to see you scaling these walls, KT.”
“Thought you put out all of the cameras?”
“Well, I still have to have my fun. I can see you, but they can’t, Don’t worry. You won’t be shot at until you’re inside the facility.”
“Gee thanks, that makes me feel a hundred times better.”
“I know. Now… on my word. The others have secured the landing.”
“Ok ok.” Taehyung moved and grabbed the gun holding the rope, positioning himself at the edge of the wall. He heard Jimin typing furiously on the other side, in the car, controlling everything he’d hacked into on the base. It hadn’t been easy, and had taken him forty eight hours to even crack the first firewall, but he’d managed to grab control of the cameras without being detected as an outsider.
“Now.” Jimin hissed. Taehyung shot the rope up, the grapple taking hold on the edge of the wall.
“I’m insane, this is insane. I’m climbing a thirty foot wall, I’m about to infiltrate a military grade base, equipped with people, weapons and holding my son captive, and I have five idiots with me, who will most likely get me killed.” Taehyung muttered to himself as he started to scale the wall.
“We Can still hear you, you know.” Hoseok complained through the link.
“Good, I hope you can hear me! You’re an idiot! All of you! We’re gonna die.”
“What happened to saving your son under very cost possible?”
“Oh it’s still there, but I just now realized how stupid it was to come with all of you. You’re gonna be the reason I get myself killed, and then Yoonbin will be forced to live here and grow up here, and no one will be there for him, and he’ll hate me, knowing that I abandoned him, and I don’t want to be the kind of father, and—“
“Hey.” Taehyung stopped talking as Jungkook’s voice came through the link. “Hey, Taehyung, it’s okay. Everything will be fine, Okay? Just take a deep breath and then get your ass up here. We have a son to save.”
“You’re right.” Taehyung closed his eyes, taking in a deep breath. When he opened his eyes, he stared up at the wall, having climbed about halfway there. “Let’s kill these motherfuckers.”
