the study of Ophelia's apartment, 3 days before Armageddon
After the unfortunate meeting of Crowley, Aziraphale and Ophelia, Ophelia had found herself not working on her plants as she usually did. She was going through practically all the spell books she ever owned, throwing them around her study which was filled with shelves up to the ceiling. They mostly contained classics such as Shakespeare's plays and a couple of Greek ones too. She had a specific shelf just for her books on magic and one filled with myths and legends.
She had one where it precisely said what was to happen when the Antichrist is born, opened on the desk by the window. Whenever she would search for multiple information in all of her books, she'd have the whole desk filled with them. She practically owned a copy of every book on witchcraft there was.
Pluto the cat was laying on a stack of books, trying to follow his owner while still trying to get some sleep. He was spiritually connected to Ophelia, but yet was sometimes a really lazy cat so he didn't really follow what she was doing.
"Spells on torture. Shapeshifting. Astrology." Ophelia read each title out loud throwing the books around the room. The poor cat had to move aside to avoid getting hit by one.
Ophelia had gone through half of the bookshelf, but realizing she couldn't do it like that anymore. She shook her head, taking a step back. She remembered how years ago she read about being able to see people through flames. She had to take the risk despite her fear of fire. She had to do it for the world; at least that's what she thought.
The redhead witch stood in front of the bookshelf as with a nod of her head the books went flying in the air, each opening at a particular page. Her eye pupils were no longer light blue, but had completely changed into a light shade of violet.
She used her hands to navigate the books, pushing them left and right, flipping through pages as quickly as possible. She had read almost tens of books before finding the right one 'Incantation and spiritualism in flames by Aurelia Bowen' dating all the way back to the 16th century.
"Bingo," Ophelia muttered as she took the book in her hand, sending all the other books back into their places as her eyes went back to their normal colour.
She went up to the desk, placing the opened book down against the stack of books. It was handwritten and would have been barely readable for the younger witches, but luckily Ophelia was fluent in Latin and could read old English very well.
