catacombs, 1564.
"You're late," Åshild's voice echoed through the brick hallways. "Again."
"Traffic," muttered Ophelia, approaching her waiting sisters.
Åshild arranged an urgent meeting deep in their hidden catacombs. Not all of them were as happy with the constant falling of water from the brick ceilings, but it was the best they could find.
"Of course," Åshild rolled her eyes, sitting herself down at the table. Afterwards, each sister took their seats, allowing their leader to be the first.
Ophelia had a look at each of her sisters' faces. They liked to keep their business under the Earth's surface, disliking to be bothered by humans and their curious thinking. It was God who Åshild feared the most, her possible revenge which she did not want to feel on her own skin.
"I have summoned you once more, to speak to you about possible recruiting. I spoke to Lucifer and he, too, agrees we should spread our practices and get new women to join us," announced Åshild, receiving a curious look from each sister.
"Will they all be immortal?" questioned Eupheme.
"Sister, please!" spoke Astrid, probably the kindest of the seven. "It's good to know there'll be more of us. We can spread our knowle-"
"Don't you dare tell me about knowledge, sister!" snapped Eupheme.
"I think, it's a good thing to get new recruits. It's like having students." agreed Dianthe. "Eventually we could build an army."
"An army of animal slaughterers! If animal sacrifices, really do happen, there'll be whole species of animals going extinct!" disagreed Ianthe, thinking firstly about the animal life of Earth.
"Sister, please." Eupheme thought of animal slaughtering to be a foolish problem of her older sister.
"Don't you remember what happened to unicorns?" reminded Ianthe. "Noah did a big mistake there and look now- We don't have unicorns anymore."
"I actually have nothing against new recruits. We can completely wipe out the animal sacrifices. Humans are actually the ones responsible mostly for the slaughtering." mentioned Ophelia, getting into the argument.
Unlike the rest, Pandora just sat next to Ophelia, listening to her older sisters arguing. She didn't have a say in most of their arguments. Despite her old age, Åshild still thought of her as God's biggest mistake thanks to her child-like appearance.
