The three supernatural creatures rushed from the manor following the movement of Ophelia's crystal which had begun spinning in faster circles. She tried following the way, completely ignoring the scenery around them with the ambulance and people fearing for their lives.
Ophelia was never the one to care much about humans. She had just felt relief they were caught into their own worry than the weird sight of the three following some spinning crystal.
"You sure this'll work?" Aziraphale questioned the witch's faith in such a silly object.
"Don't question it. I've questioned her too many times." suggested the demon.
"Could you two shut it? I'm trying to concentrate!" the witch shushed them, trying to navigate. She feared she'll go off the track and lose it.
She managed the leave through the gate with the crystal spinning before it just dropped. Either the energy was lost, it was nothing or her sisters found out about it. She looked around, frightened. She was not shocked nor surprised, but frightened. She couldn't believe it.
"What? What's going on?" Aziraphale hesitated, thinking they had it for a second.
"I've lost it." the witch couldn't believe her ears as she said it.
She never lost it. She never lost anything. It was a first for her. She made a couple of turns, trying to find the energy again, but it seemed to slip out of her fingers. She had to face the heart breaking truth. She failed in finding the boy. He didn't want to be found.
"Ophelia is everything alright?" to Aziraphale's surprised, it was Crowley who wondered if she was alright.
"I'm fine," she muttered, placing the rope back around her neck and hiding the crystal under her clothes.
"You look a bit pale." he pointed it out, making Aziraphale hold onto his heart. He'd tell him he was worrying which was nice, but he feared to be pinned against the wall again.
"It's nothing."
