Chapter 3

Jason was suddenly grabbed by the hand and teleported into a grand bedroom. He looked around in wonder. It really was a palace. The bed was huge, the black walls were huge, and decorated by twisting green pillars and designs.

Nico laughed, "Welcome to my room, cool huh?"

Jason nodded as Nico sat on the bed, and wow... when Nico laughed, he was beautiful. Totally Jason's type... what was wrong with Jason? He was getting a crush on someone who he didn't think could ever love him back - Nico was living and Jason was dead. Yet...good golly was Jason Todd falling for Nico Di Angelo.

Nico seemed completely unaware of the thoughts running through Jason's head. The son of Hades couldn't help but think Jason was adorable as he looked around the room. Nico couldn't help but laugh in amusement as Jason spun in a circle, taking in everything. Jason Todd glanced at him, and Nico Di Angelo fell hard for those crystal eyes. They stared at each other momentarily, their eyes taking in the other's attractive figure.

Nico shook out of it first, "Enjoying the view?"

Jason's ghostly pale cheeks become rosy, "I could say the same to you."

Nico gave a chuckle, "Can you really blame me? You're adorable."

They hadn't even realized how close together they were, until Nico's cold hands brushed against Jason's waist. They suddenly both jumped back, and started giving profuse apologies.

Jason quickly adapted to the job as manservant. His tasks were simple, and Nico often insisted on doing his own work. Jason was mainly there to keep Nico company. Then, three days later, it happened.

Nico had called Jason to his room. Jason came in, and Nico nervously turned to him, "Look, Jason... I... I think your amazing. Your eyes are brighter than any spirit, you're cute, you're caring, and... I guess what am I trying to say is... I think I'm in love with you."

Jason smiled, and stepped closer to Nico. He could smell Nico's breath - peppermint - most likely from the toothpaste Nico used every morning. He cupped Nico's cheeks, and kissed him on the lips, "I think I'm in love with you, too." They kissed again, and this time it was passionate. They were utterly and completely in love, and this finalized their relationship.

Jason soon found himself next to Nico on their first date. They were in a field in elysium. The stars twinkling above them. Nico handed Jason a dagger. Jason looked at him confusedly, "What's this for?"

Nico looked at him slightly sadly, "I learned something from my father. You're going to face some tough trials... don't forget me or yourself... promise me you won't ever kill anyone on your own accord. Please?"

Jason gave a soft but confused smile, and he nodded, "I promise I won't kill anyone willingly or on my own accord."

"Swear it on the river of the Styx?"

"I swear." Jason replied.

Nico nodded, and cuddled closer to him. As they continued to star gaze.

Their first date was their last night in the Underworld together. Nico woke up that morning to find that his new boyfriend had been unwillingly revived by a Lazarus pit. Nico buried his face in his pillow and cried.
