one way I like to imagine the rest of the community discovering that Quentin is a trans male is that he's actually outed by a small group of villains who infiltrated one of his hideouts to gather dirt, hoping to accuse him of something else [bc Mysterio is already seen as a kind of creep in this community bc of his abilities to trick and deceive]. The evidence that this group discovered was a picture of his younger self, which according to my previous headcanon, was tossed away hoping no one would find it but they did, and now that's going to be used against him. After word gets out, the reaction is evenly split. Some people just don't care, some people don't understand so they leave him alone, some people want him dead now more than ever for being a freak while Doc Ock doesn't mind because he already knew. Despite Mysterio being forced to come out, he resumes his life normally, but knowing a bigger bounty will be placed on his head. He has yet to discover which villains sold off that info about him but he has a pretty good idea on who, he doesn't really need them to expose themselves. He's not here to make friends anyway.
Note: the transphobia/homophobia in the villain community is worse off than what you may find in the superhero community because everyone here is always at each's other necks no matter what. Regardless,it's always a bad thing if you give someone else a another reason to hate you.
