Ruby and Jaune are thrown to the mountain wall and Jaune lands onto the ground with a roll. Jaune rubs his head in pain before hearing Ruby screaming as he notices she is barely hanging on the mountain pass' edge that led straight down to a bunch of rocks and she was slipping.

Jaune: RUBY!

He quickly dives to the spot she was at just as her hand slipped. He grabbed her arm. Ruby sighs in relief as Jaune pulls her up.

Ruby: Thanks Jaune.

Jaune: No problem.

They then hear the roar of the Nuckelavee again as they look to see Reaper, Pyrrha, and Qrow trying to land attacks on the creature but there is poor maneuverability on the mountain. This allows the Nuckelavee to block their shots very effectively.

Reaper teleports above the Nuckelavee to try and get a clear shot at its head only to see it react too fast as he is grabbed and smashed into the mountain wall. Reaper falls to the ground unconscious.

Ruby: REAPER!

Ruby runs over to his unconscious body as Pyrrha covers her while Qrow continues to try and land shots at the Nuckelavee. Jaune runs up to them.

Ruby: Reaper?! Reaper, get up!

They see his eyes are still closed. Ruby, Pyrrha, and Jaune look over to Qrow as he struggles to block an attack.

Qrow: A LITTLE HELP WOULD BE NICE!

Nora: I GOT YOU COVERED!

Nora exclaims from behind the Nuckelavee just before her hammer slams into the imp's face, causing it to slam into the mountainside. A few small rocks fall as Ren fires at the Nuckelavee from behind as Nora lands next to him and does the same while Pyrrha, Ruby, and Qrow also do the same. The Grimm roars and starts waving its arms around to try and hit the humans.

Jaune notices Reaper open his eyes slightly. Jaune kneels down next to him as the fight continues.

Jaune: Hey! We need you to get up! That thing is going to tear us apart in a minute!

Reaper weakly points up. Jaune looks to where he is pointing and sees unstable rocks at the top of the mountain that could come crashing down if given enough force, or bullets.

Jaune: GUYS! WE NEED TO BRING DOWN THE MOUNTAIN ON THAT THING!

Qrow: What?! Are you crazy!?

Ruby: Crazy is fighting that thing head on! I'll take the rocks!

Pyrrha and Ruby aim at where Jaune points to and fires at the unstable rocks and boulders. In a couple shots, they cause an avalanche of boulders to start crashing down to the path. Everyone takes cover as the rocks fall and dust clouds the area.

When the dust settles, Ren sees the Nuckelavee torso and arms pinned under several large rocks with the horse part completely squashed. He pulls out a knife and walks over to the struggling Grimm as it roars.

Ren: You took my family from me. My home. And you took countless other lives....now it's time to avenge them.

Ruby, Jaune, Qrow, Nora, and Pyrrha get out of cover to see Ren chopping the Nuckelavee's arms off before screaming and cutting off its head. The Nuckelavee corpse disintegrates and causes some of the rocks it was trapped from to move around a little. Ren drops his knife to the ground and sighs before being nearly tackled by Nora in a hug. He gives off a short laugh at her before hugging her back.

Reaper tries to get back up but gets all wobbly when he gets on his feet. Ruby and Qrow help him get steady as he slowly regains his balance. He nods at the two before looking looking at the path to Mistral.

Qrow: Is everyone alright?

Jaune: I think so.

Pyrrha: Mhm...

Ruby and Ren nods at Qrow.

Nora: Better than alright!

Qrow smirks at Nora before they all start getting away from the scene and continue to Mistral. Reaper sees Ren and Nora looking at the pile of rocks  the now dead Nuckelavee was trapped by. Nora grabs Ren's hand and lays her head on his shoulder. After a moment the two then head over to Reaper, who simply makes an "awwww" gesture. Ren smirks and rolls his eyes while Nora smiles as the three catch up with everyone else.

After a couple of hours, the group gets off the mountain and travels on flat ground towards Mistral.
