HUMAN

63 8 3

i'll wait for the day
where a white flag is raised
wars will end, walls will crumble,
and wails will vanish
only then can i stop my feign
let various masks break,
let tears escape their jail,
let anger find its prey,
let my mind and heart be free from grey
i'll pick up the broken shards of what
could have made me weak
i'll thank myself for standing strong
whilst on the peak

then maybe, i'll be able to call myself a human again
