It was close to 9:30 at night and everything was finished with the new house. We didn't have to do much with the house. Everything was practically brand new. The fridge, washing and drying machine, the oven, mircowave, and the stove.................everything. I don't have very much, but everything I do have I charish like it will be taken from me by tomorrow morning. Whenever I wanted something, I worked for it. I usually did side jobs as a child to earn extra euros for myself and Nanna. Nanna always opposed me working at such a young age. She was scared of losing me. She didn't want someone to take me........................a defenceless, kindhearted, weak child and use me for some sick sadistic game. While I was working as a child earning extra euros, Nanna was always around the village as I did my job, whether it being a running around job for the elderly or a job to sell a basket of veggies and fruits across the village for an elderly vender. Nanna was always watching me, even if she didn't have eye-contact on me, she always knew where I was or where I was going by the elderly venders or the elderly themselves. The elderly of our village always kept an eye on me. They always enjoyed my company as I enjoyed theirs. I enjoy everyones company whether it be older than me or younger. I never liked to talk but I always loved to listen. I always admired listening more then talking. I always understood the hidden beat of each word when someone was talking to me. I focus on each word that was spoken whenever someone was talking directly to me or to someone else. Nanna tells me that I am an observant person. She tells me that I always take a meaning to every word in any language. Even though I only speak German and English. I hear a faint knocking sound, kicking my thoughts away for the time being. Nanna walks in, takes a book off the shelf and sits beside me on the bed.

"Are you ready for a story?" Nanna asks. Nanna reads to me at night, dispite my age being 15. Nanna and I always read together at night. Her voice brings me comfort, for the horrors that tomorrow might bring.

"Nein, Nanna, ich muss mein nachtkleid anziehen, (TRANSLATION: No, Nanna, I need to get my night dress on,)" I answered in german. I walked inside of my closet, closing and locking the door. I pulled out my night dress.

I nodded my head in aproval, pulling it off a hanger

I nodded my head in aproval, pulling it off a hanger. I slipped my shirt off my head, throwing it in my light pink hamper. Following the shirt was my bra, underwear, jeans, and socks, all thrown in the hamper. I slipped the night dress on my body, after I had put on new underwear. I skipped to the mirror to check my look. Once I decided that I am pleased with my look. I unlocked the door and opened it. Nanna, still waiting patiently on my bed with a book in her hand. I join Nanna on the bed, sitting right beside her. She shows me a book that I haven't read yet. Coraline sat in Nanna's hand. Nanna looks at me, as she pushes the book into my hands. I take the paperback book from Nanna. I flipped through the pages till I reached the roman numeral I. I started to recite the first few lines of the book.

Coraline discovered the door a little while after they moved into the house.

It was a very old house--------it had an attic under the roof and a celler under the ground and an overgrown garden with huge old trees in it.

Coraline's family didn't own all of the house---------it was too big for that. Instead they owned part of it.

There were other people that lived in the old house.

My voice skipped as I read the last line. I handed Nanna back the book, She took it from my shaking hands. By the look in her eyes, Nanna knew this was enough for tonight. She stood up from my bed. Nanna walked over to my bookshelf on the right. Placing the book back where she took it from off the shelf. Nanna walked back to my bed. She embraces me into her arms. I lay my head into her chest. Nanna's natural sent mingling with the oxygen around us. It comforts me, almost luring me into a dreamless sleep. Nanna breaks the hug, and kisses me on the forehead. She tucks me into bed. Nanna kisses me one last time on the head, before leaving my room.

My thoughts wondering around in the dead of night. The time landing at exactly 10:00 P.M. One thought sticking out before the rest, haunting me, taunting me, to the point of a restless, anxious sleep.

Will Daddy and Mommy ever look for me?

The thought plagues for a while. They never cared for me, so why look? Mommy made that very clear with Daddy standing right next to her, eyes shining with approval. The only time they would look as if...................I was soulmated to The Captain and The soldier. They would care.............only to use me. I just don't want to fall for it, no matter if they show me affection...............after years of neglection. The thought leaves my head immediately, after coming to my logical conculsion. They were never coming for me................that's the end of it. I close my eyes in hopes of a breathless, calming dream.....................

11 people stand 6 feet away from me........................................They stand around me in a circle....................................holding their arms out screaming my name. I couldn't see their faces or their bodies. I could only make out the outline of the bodies to figure the genders. 9 men and 2 women...............all yelling...................trying to reach me. One was very close to grabbing my forearm, but missed by 1 inch. They yelled in frustration. One of the women started to grip............their hair...............screaming, and maybe crying. 2 different people immerge from the white foggyness of the nightmare. I look right...........then left, trying to find a way out of this pain and suffering, I see from these people. The people come closer and closer, pushing them away. It was more of violent shoving. The 2 people came closer, to the point that I swore I felt their skin against mine. It was so rough against my soft skin. Their hands flashed to my forearms, gripping me violently, and started to drag me from the circle. The 11 people screamed louder, some fell to the floor in defeat. I heard sobs leak from their mouths, as I got dragged farther and farther away. The screams faded as their figures disappeared. These 2 people kept dragging me, until a cell made it into view. Once I was dragged closer, the cage was opened by the more feminine person. I was thrown in, my knees smacking against, what I think is concrete. Blood flowed through my open wounds on my knees. All I want is for this nightmare to end. The pain almost feels real................Sweat forms on my forehead. I turn around ignoring the pain shooting up and down my legs from my wounds. I manage to reach the bars of the cage. Banging on the bars, screaming for help. I didn't care if it was Nanna or a mysterious person who came to save me. I just needed help.................I needed someone....................

"Help me"

"Save me"
