Peter// Unlucky #1

Peter's POV

I swung all the way to the Avengers Tower landing right infront of the Quinjet as it landed. "Hey Peter" Maria Hill said. "Hi Ms. Hill" I said. "How many times have I told you Peter you can call me Maria" She chuckled. "Right" I told her. The back of the Quinjet opened and all the Avengers came out with a new girl who seemed injured. "Mr. Stark you called for me" I said taking off my mask as we entered the building. "Yes, I have a very important task for you" He said dragging me along with the rest of the team. The new girl was taking to the infirmary Dr. Banner, Bucky and Pietro right behind her while the others wait out in the hall. "I'm confused who was that what happened?" I asked them. "Uh, you remember a few months back when you told me your little girlfriend (Y/n) went missing, the one that helped me get you for Germany, and you begged me to track her down and I told you I couldn't find her because she went off the grid" He said. "That's not her is it?" I asked. "Technically that is her, Hydra got a hold of her and now she kinda has enough powers to cause the apocalypse and for now she only trusts Bucky because she somehow recognized him from somewhere and Speedy Sokovia since he saved her from being uh, tortured" He explained. I slowly walked over to the window looking into the infirmary. "They changed her name to uh- Nat how do you pronounce it?" Mr. Stark asked. "In the field they call her Neschastlivyy, they changed her official name to Verona Hades" Natasha said. "Her field name translates to Unlucky, according to her charts she has the ability to give people bad luck, drain them of their power, and is basically the girl version of Loki in the end" Maria said. "Oh god Reindeer games 2.0" Mr. Stark groaned. "Maybe we can get my brother down here to help her" Thor suggests. "Loki barely leaves his room to go on missions what makes you think he'll leave to help train a 16 year old" Clint complains. I just kept my eyes trained on (Y/n). Her (H/l) (H/c) was now a deep green color and was to her shoulders, her (E/c) were an impossible shade of white and her (S/c) was so much more pale than the last time I saw her. I was furious of what Hydra had done to her. They drained her of her happiness, her innocence, her-

"Did they remove her memory as well?" I asked. "Almost all of it, from what we caught she only remembers her time in Hydra" Cap said. I looked back through the window seeing her pale white eyes looking at me now. Pietro walked out of the room before telling us she was willing to help. "Only because Bucky is with us, and she wants to come on the missions" Pietro said. "I wanna go too" I said. "Oh no no no, what am I going to tell your Aunt May this time, and your school?" Mr. Stark asked. "Summer starts next week, I don't have to show up to school and I'll tell Aunt May I'm doing a summer training with you abroad" I said. "Sounds good to me" Cap said. "You're encouraging this behavior?" Mr. Stark asked. "He obviously cares about this girl Tony, and maybe with him around her memories will come back, Same way Sam, Nat, And I got Bucky's memories to come back" Mr. Rodgers explained. "Fine, take her to the lab we'll talk there, everyone, out of their supersuits no matter where we find a hydra base we all need to take a breather right now" Mr. Stark said. "Wait what about her injuries?" I asked. "What Injuries?" Clint asked. "When she came in I saw blood on her and she was limping." I said. "The blood wasn't hers and the limp is because she's exhausted" Cap said. I slowly nodded my head looking back at (Y/n) who was being helped off the table by Bucky and Dr. Banner.

I went down stairs with the others heading to my room at the Tower. Not too long after Germany I was spending so much time with Mr. Stark that he gave me my own room at the Compound and the Tower. I changed into normal jeans and a red T-shirt putting on my sneakers before heading to the lab. I found everyone but Pietro and (Y/n) already there. "I took her to my room so she could shower, Pietro's gonna bring her over here" Bucky explained. "I called Sam and Vision they're going to try and convince Loki to come and if not they're just gonna come here themselves" Cap said. We all nodded as Pietro and (Y/n) walked into the room. "Must be pretty serious if Pietro was willing to walk" Nat said to Dr. Banner. (Y/n)'s hair was wet and in her face the light reflecting her hair to be a bright green. She wore a pair of volleyball shorts and one of Bucky's t-shirts and the black sneakers she had when she came. "Hey, you wanna meet the team?" Pietro said softly to her. (Y/n) lifted up her hair slightly so her white eyes could be seen she softly nodded her head saying something inaudible. "Okay but they're not all known by their hero names" He chuckled softly to her. "That's my sister Wanda, the red head is Nat, Thor, Tony Stark, Steve Rodgers, Clint, Peter, And you've met Dr. Banner" He said.(Y/n)'s eyes widened when she looked at me, I saw the look of recognition in her eyes before it went away. I bit my lip looking down. "We have a few more friends coming soon and we're hoping maybe one of them can help you with some of your powers" Wanda said. (Y/n) nodded her head in understanding. "Hey Verona-" "That's not my name" (Y/n) said interrupting Steve. "What is your name?" He asked glancing at me. "I was called something, something before Verona Hades before Unlucky, I don't remember what it is though" She said. Her voice sounded so fragile like she was afraid to talk. I looked up off the floor seeing all eyes, with the exception of (Y/n), on me. "I know you" (Y/n) said. I looked at her seeing here eyes fixated on me. "Do you remember me?" I asked getting off the table. She shook her head looking disappointed in herself, but I know that I know you" She said. "You're name is (Y/n) (L/n), we go to school together, you've been my friend since you moved here from New Mexico" I told her. "I remember New Mexico" She said. "What do you remember from there?" Thor asked. "Hydra" She said. Mr. Stark and Dr. Banner both pulled up as many maps as they could all tacked with Hydra bases that were already hit. "Hey we came as fast as we-" Sam cut himself off standing at the entrance of the lab with Vision, Loki, And Rhodey. "Is that the girl?" Rhodey asked. We all nodded our heads. "(Y/n) meet Vision, Sam Wilson, Rhodes, and my brother Loki" Thor said. "You're the god of mischief" (Y/n) with a small smile. "Yes, how did you know?" Mr. Loki said with a ghost of a smile. "I've read stories about you and your amazing abilities, when I found my magic, I tired my best to be able to do what you can do and I've gotten this far" She said stepping to the side as now there were two of her. "Well if you know Loki that must mean you know me" Thor said with a smirk. "I know you as Loki's brother, that's pretty much it" (Y/n) admitted. All of us had to suppress laughs expect for Pietro, Loki, and Sam. "I like this one" Loki said. "Good because we were thinking you could train her and help her magic" Dr. Banner said. "Gladly, you're magic is okay now," Loki said passing his hand through the illusion (Y/n) made. "But after some practice I think we can make you Almost goddess like" Loki said to her making her smile beam. Her eyes hit a moment of realization before she turned back to me. "'When you can do the things that I can, but you don't, and then the bad things happen, they happen because of you.'" She said. I looked over at Mr. Stark who seemed just as surprised. "What just happened?" Rhodey asked. "Peter said that, when I was recruiting him for Germany he said this exact words, and she was there because she helped me convince him" Mr. Stark said. "At least we're getting somewhere with the memories" Bucky said shrugging. "But wait, if she was kidnapped after Bucky was taken out of Hydra how did she recognize him" Wanda said confused. "Hydra uses him as their star example in loyalty and the two of you in progress in human experimentation, Im their star im example in the forms of how powerful" She explained. "Seems like their star students are landing in the hands of the good guys" Natasha said. "So kid, think you can help us locate a few Hudra bases" Mr. Stark said gesturing towards the holographic maps. "New Mexico, four corners" (Y/n) walking over to the map. She closed it on the four corners leaning more towards New Mexico. "This is where they go to experiment on Americans" She said. "Well that's what we're gonna hit" Cap said.

A few days later we went to New Mexico to hit the base that they used to experiment on (Y/n). She had come with us but instead of having a uniform she just wore a pair of black jean shorts and one of Bucky's shirts again with and her boots. There were a lot of occasions that she was ambushed since almost everyone recognized her immediately but she took down about half of the Hydra soldiers down in less than 5 minutes making the mission fast and easy.

Later that night I knocked on her bedroom door at the Tower since she wasn't allowed at the compound yet. "Come In" I heard her says. I opened the door walking in and closing it behind her. "Hey I'm proud of you for today, you did great" I told her. "Thanks" She said shyly. I took notice that her white eyes were back to (E/c). "Your eyes, they're back to normal" I smiled sitting in front of her on her bed. "Yeah, Loki taught me how to control my magic more so now they only turn white when I'm using my 'Jinx magic' as he calls it." She said. I chuckled looking down at the bed seeing she was drawing. "I almost forgot you're drawing skills." I told her. "I've always been good at drawing?" She asked. "Hell Yeah, here let me show you" I said standing up sticking my hand out for her. She took it and got up so I took her down to my room. "Wow" She said. "Yeah there's some in this room but most of them are back at my real house, and others at the compound" I told her. "I remember drawing this one" She said her hand grazing over the Spider-Man drawing. "I drew it the day I found out you were Spider-Man" She said. "Yeah yeah" I said smiling as I walked up behind her putting my hand on her waist. "This one was the one I made on my first day of school, you saw me at lunch all alone" She said. "I invited my friends to come sit with us and I complimented the drawing" I told her. "At the end of the school day I left the drawing in your locker" She said turning back to face me. I grinned at her regaining her memories. She smiled as a blush crept onto her face.

I wanted to tell her everything, how I felt about her, how I missed her, I missed her hugs, her laugh, her voice in general, her sarcastic remarks, the pranks her and I would pull on Ned and Aunt May, her lips. How I missed her kisses in the middle of the night when she'd sneak into my room after having a nightmare, or when we'd fall asleep in her room after binge watching her favorite shows. She'd fall asleep in my arms but not before asking for a goodnight kiss. "Peter" She said her voice soft and innocent sounding like it was the day we met. "Yeah?" I asked. "What are you thinking about?" She asked. I didn't answer, how could I. What was I gonna tell her, that I was thinking of all those nights we'd be in my room making out after Aunt May left the house, or the nights we'd be at her house just sleeping together because the other didn't wanna be alone. She feels guilty enough for being a Hydra experiment and loosing most of her memories, I didn't wanna make her feel bad for forgetting that she was the love of my life. "Don't worry about it, it's not important" I said. "Okay" She said. "You should get some rest it's getting late" I told her. She nodded her head hesitantly. I walked her back to her room and leaned against the door frame as she walked in. She sat on her bed looking down at the ground. "You okay (N/n)?" I asked. "Can you maybe, stay until I fall asleep, I just, I don't wanna have nightmares again" She said. The first night she stayed her I slept with her because she was having nightmares. It was a good thing I was still here actually because I was about to leave. After that first night Mr. Stark said I can't be staying at the Tower by myself with her so I would go to the compound after she fell asleep. "Sure" I smiled walking into her room closing the door behind me. She laid on her bed and I sat next to her. "I remembered something else" She said. "What is it?" I asked. "We were in my room watching Leverage, It was like one in the morning, and I fell asleep in your arms" She said. "Kinda like this" I asked wrapping my arms around her pulling her on top of me. She nodded her head humming quietly. I looked down at her seeing her start to fall asleep. "I missed you (Y/n)" I said. "I think I have enough memories to say I missed you too Peter" She said softly making me chuckle. After a few minutes of silence I said something I've been dying to tell her since I saw her. "I love you"
