Hope Mikaelson was a perfect student. A perfect friend. Even a perfect girlfriend. Only if someone could take a hint all three of those things would be in motion.

"Josie I look fine." Hope said looking Josie right in the eyes. "Look, you need to look you're best. This is a school dance and I don't want to see you standing in the corner wearing a pair of jeans and a old shirt." Josie said. "Fine. I'll wear this dress and those heals." Hope was the kind of girl that never wanted to impress anyone. Well, besides Landon Kirby. Landon was the dream guy. A football quarterback, a good student, and he's loyal. Which is a bonus.

HOPE'S POV

I'm so nervous for tonight. Landon's going to be there and I'm not sure how that's going to go. "Josie are you ready?" I screaming across the living room. "Yeah." She screamed back.

We got to the school and walked to the gym. It was very crowded and I was hoping no one would see me. I've never worn a dress to school or anything so I don't know how people will react. "Hey Mikaelson." I heard from behind me. I turned around to see the one person I hoped I wouldn't see. "Hey Landon." I said back. "You look good." He said smiling. I could feel my cheeks get red. "Thank you." I said with a grin. "Don't just stand there, come on." He told me. Josie already left and went to Rafael so I had to say yes. "Fine." I said to Landon. We danced for about an hour and then a slow song came on. I got so nervous it wasn't even funny. He grabbed my hips and I put my arms on his shoulders. It felt like the longest time in my life. But I was ok with it. Normally Landon would just ignore me. But tonight was different. I liked it.

"Hope." Landon said. "Yeah." I said back. Do you want to go outside for a second?" He asked me. "Umm sure." I said confused.
