You had a long day at work, you are a nurse and today one of the midwifes weren't in and you had to step in as you were the only one available that had a degree in midwifery and you delivered the baby and everything went well and you couldn't be happier for the little family. You then went back to your own ward and had patients who weren't listening to you and one of the women hit you but she didn't mean it, she felt pressured because another nurse came over and she hit me and told me to get rid of the other nurse. Today was stressful more so than most days but each day is different and it's always great to be able to help people and see them get better it's one of the most rewarding jobs ever. You just want to cuddle and relax with your boyfriend Brad. You got home and he had his mates over that goes your sleeping plans, you love the boys but tonight you just wanted to go to bed, you walk in as they are playing a game
"Hello" you say as you give the boys a wave and then give brad a kiss on the cheek
"Y/n" you hear Bradley say
"Yeah" you reply exhaustedly
"Me and the boys have ran out of beer can you get us some more?" Bradley asks
"Brad I was just going to go to bed" you whine because you don't know if you can handle going to the shop
"Babe please" He says
"Fine" you huff and then you go upstairs to grab your ID because no matter how old you get you still get asked to show your ID
"Mate I could've went she was exhausted" James says
"She's fine" Bradley says
"Mate she literally couldn't keep her eyes open for more than five seconds, she couldn't even stand up straight" James says
"She's fine she's just wanting attention and she's just being clingy always wanting to hug me and touch me, it's annoying like give me some space" he says and you feel tears roll down your face you didn't know he felt like that, you then grab your ID and walk to your car as you leave the house you quietly shut the door so he doesn't know that you heard him. You go to the retail park and notice every shop is shut you angrily press your head into your hands which are gripped tightly around the steering wheel. You then drive further away you find a shop and there's no beer could your night get any worse? You drive a bit more and find a Tesco they've got to have beer right? You go to Tesco and grab a pack and of course you're asked to show your ID. You then start to drive home and start crying thinking about what Brad said he thinks your clingy, he thinks your an attention seeker, he thinks you're annoying and he wants his own space so that's what you're going to give him. After what felt like forever you arrive home and you take the beers out and place them on the table in front of the boys and brad wraps his arms around you but you shrug out of them
"Thanks baby" he whispers
"It's fine" you say
"What took you so long?" One of brads friends you don't really know Asks
"Everywhere was shut or didn't have anything so I had to go out a bit" you tell him with no tone in your voice with your eyes burning because of how long you've had them open
"Y/n are you okay?" James Asks
"I'm fine thanks how are you?" You ask trying to keep your eyes open and then you walk upstairs and head up to your room. You then change out of your uniform which is covered in blood from the birth and the baby and put on a pair of pyjama shorts and then one of your own hoodies, you normally wear one of brads but you think he's angry at you so you just put on it your own on but it's not the same it's not as big, it's not as soft and it doesn't feel like him. You then wipe the tears away that have formed in your eyes and go to your side of the bed as far as you can go without falling off and then wrap yourself up in blankets as you won't be having Brad keep you warm tonight. And then you fall asleep.
BRADS POINT OF VIEW—
James told me Y/n looked exhausted was she? I should've payed more attention. She's a nurse she's on her feet all day she's busy all the time looking after others but I didn't even pay attention to her and notice how tired she was. Jack starts to get impatient waiting and keeps swearing and scoffing. She took a while getting back but she comes back and her eyes are black and blue with how tired she is and they are all bloodshot she can't even keep them open, her back is slouched, she's got blood all over her uniform, her mascara has ran and her cheeks and eyes look puffy. I then wrap my arms around her waist but she just wriggles out of my grip and says a few words to James before slowly heading up to our room. I feel awful for making her go out of town to go and get us beer. After a while the boys go home I quickly head up the stairs so I can cuddle up to Y/ns little body and warm her up. I walk into our room and strip down to my boxers and go under the covers I turn around to wrap my arms around her but I can't feel her, I look up and notice she's so far away and practically falling off the bed, I also notice she's shivering in her sleep Why is she so far away and if she's cold she knows she can cuddle up to me I love it. I frown as I notice she has one of her own hoodies on she always wears mine she prefers to wear mine because she likes them to be extra big, soft and they smell like me. I then snake my arm around her tiny and freezing cold waist and pull her towards me, I hear her groan which shows I've woken her up
"Sorry did I wake you up baby?" I ask softly and wrap my warm arms around her and pull her close to me
"Hmm" She hums and then wriggles our of my grip
"Baby what's wrong? You're freezing let me warm you up" I tell her as I take her cold arm in my hand but she pulls it away
"No Bradley I'm too clingy and annoying you so I'm giving you space" she says and I give her a confused look even though she can't see it. I try to pull her back against my chest but she refuses again
"I heard you talking to the boys when I was getting my ID" she says and my heart sunk she heard me tell the boys that she was fine, she didn't need sleep, she was too clingy, she was annoying and I needed space
"Baby I didn't mean that I promise, I didn't realise how tired you were and I'm so sorry for making you go to the shop for the boys and I was just frustrated because I lost the game we were playing and I took my anger out on you calling you names, I love you so much and I love your cuddles so so much and don't think you're ever annoying me because you could never what I said I didn't mean I wasn't thinking So please come her and cuddle insure seeing you so cold and why didn't you take one of my hoodies?" I say
"I thought you were annoyed at me so I didn't want to" She says still not facing me and I could've started crying because she thought I was annoyed at her
"I could never be annoyed at you and I'm sorry for being a dick I didn't mean any of what I said" I tell her and then go into my wardrobe and grab her a hoodie
"Let's take this off," I say talking about her hoodie "can you sit up?" I ask and she groans and I place my warm hand on her back and pull her up. She then flops forward into my chest because of how tired she is, I then pull off her hoodie and place one of my bigger comfier ones on her little body
"I'm sorry" I apologise
"It's okay" she says as she turns around to look at me and I see her beautiful eyes that I haven't seen in a while
"Please cuddle me" I beg and as comes closer to be and wraps her arms around my body as I wrap mines around her small body and keep her warm.
