(Eleanor's PoV)
I'm alone at home again, night after night it's always the same. Brad my boyfriend comes home late all the time and doesn't bother to say anything. Tonight is no exception but today he's later than normal, the door bursts open and he walks in to see me on the sofa
"What are you doing?" He Asks
"What are you doing come home so late bradley? You're always out and always come home late" I snap at him
"I was out with the boys" he replies bluntly
"But brad you're always out with the boys, when was the last time we did anything together?" I ask he stays silent "you can't even deny it Brad!" I say
"Shut up! I don't spend time with you because I don't want to!" He snaps
"Why are you in a relationship with me if you don't want to spend time with me then?" I ask and don't want to hear the answer but he stays silent "go to bed Bradley" I tell him
"You don't tell me me what to do" He shouts and then slaps my face, i feel a sting go through my whole face and tears well up in my eyes
"Brad go to bed" I say not looking at him I can't
"Eleanor" He says more softly clearly more sober and knows what he has done
"Go to bed Bradley" I say coldly
"Aren't you coming up with me?" He Asks
"Mmh" I hum but I know I won't be, he nods and walks up the stairs so I grab a blanket and lay down on the cold sofa and wrap the blanket tightly around myself with tears in my eyes, why did he hit me? Will he do it again? I think as I fall asleep. In the morning in woken up by my long brown hair being played with and the loose stands being removed from my green eyes. I feel a warm hand rub my back up and down so I slowly open my eyes to see Bradley playing with my hair and rubbing my back, I don't know whether I should look at him so I just put my head back down
"Eleanor baby," he says softly and I ignore him "please talk to me" he begs
"Brad leave me alone" i say
"We need to talk" he says
"No you need to talk" I tell him and he nods
"Yeah I need to talk" He corrects
"Go for it then" you say impatiently
"I'm so sorry Eleanor, I promise I'll never go out and get drunk ever again, I promise I will never ever lay my hands on you ever again in such a way. I know you might not forgive me but Eleanor I love you with everything in me and I can lose you. Please Eleanor I promise I'll make it up to you I'll spend so much time with you I'll tell the boys I'm busy," he says with tears in his eyes because of how passionate he's speaking but I don't say anything he just stands up and wraps a blanket around me before heading to the kitchen, a while later he walks out of the kitchen with a balloon that says 'sorry', a bouquet of flowers, a card, a teddy and a tray with food on it
"I know gifts aren't going to make you forgive me but I hope you like them" he says and I read the card and start crying because it's so cute, he wrote some of our favourite memories in and that made me realise that when he hit me it was a mistake and he would never do it again, he loves me so much. I wrap my arms around him which takes him by surprise but he tightly wraps his arm darling me
"I'm so sorry, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry" he repeats into my hair
"It's okay Bradley it was a mistake just don't do it again or I'll not forgive you" I tell him and he nods and hugs me again.
