3rd Person P.O.V
After 5 minutes the train had indeed stopped and James, Sirius, Peter, and Remus grabbed their trunks to begin climbing out of the train. But as Remus reached up to grab his trunk the small leather bound book with his name on it slipped out of his messenger bag falling onto the floor. But in the commotion of getting there trunks, dogging first years ,and getting out of the train Remus hadn't noticed his journal had fallen out and left the train with the rest of his friends not knowing that his deepest most intimate thoughts had been left lying on the floor of a dusty train compartment. As people kept rushing through the train to get to the door one particular greasy haired Slytherin by the name of Severus Snape had walked past the compartment where only moments ago The Marauders had sat to see through that commotion a book lying face down on the floor. Snape thought this was his chance to get something ,anything on The Marauders so he pushed his way between his fellow students until he found himself on the compartment where the book lay. He bent down to grab the book and picked it up reading the name engraved on the front cover that name was Remus John Lupin. Snape felt like he had hit the jackpot ,but with the last few students rushing to get off the train he had to stuff the book into his own messenger bag to inspect at a later time. So after safely tucking the book into his bag snape exited the train with a new found excitement of wanting to know what secrets lived inside that leather bound book engraved with the name Remus John Lupin.

The welcoming feast was in full swing with first years amazed by the mountains of food but although the feast was great the only thing on Snape's mind was sneaking off to the bathroom so he could read the contents of the book that lay in his bag that sat on the floor meer inches from his hands. After eating a bit as to not cause for suspicion Snape ever so calmly excused himself from his table and headed for the bathroom. Once he reached the bathroom he quickly locked himself in a stall so he could read the contents of the book in private. Snape picked up the book and began to read soon finding it was the diary (although Remus refereed to it as a journal ) of Remus and then he began to read into the depths of Remus's most secret private thoughts. Soon Snape found the letter Remus had wanted to show Sirius ,but was too scared to do so. Snape found Remus's love for Sirius completely and utterly disgusting and thought that he always had a feeling that Remus was gay ,but now this theory was confirmed that he was in fact gay. After reading every page of Remus's journal twice over Snape had figured out what he would do. He knew if he waited a few weeks he would be able to get Remus back for being a bloody queer, him being friends with James who was trying to steal his Lily from him ,and for beig friends with Sirius who had alwas made fun of his appearance. Snape had decided he would wake up extra early on the day of The Quidditch House Cup to write in giant gold letters across the quidditch pitch that REMUS JOHN LUPIN IS IN LOVE WITH SIRIUS ORIAN BLACK. Along with the writing Snape planned to teach all the Slytherins who would listen and who were afraid of Lucious Malfoy (who happened to be a good friend of Snape ) a chant that went REMUS IS A BLOODY QUEER REMUES IS A FAIRY REMUS LUPIN IS A FREAK.
As the weeks had passed Remus had realized he had lost his journal ,but although he wanted to cry out to his friends for help he simply couldn't for none of them knew what secrets he kept in his journal or that he even had a journal. Remus had half heartedly hoped he had just misplaced it and he would find it soon ,but he hadn't found it and as the days passed, he became more and more fearful that someone had found it and read through his secret thoughts and feelings and that scared him. Well Remus should be scared because in fact little did he know someone had found his journal and was about to expose him in front of the entire school. Another 2 weeks had passed since Remus had lost his journal and Remus was beyond terrified that someone had found it. These thoughts and worries made Remus much quieter and anxious than usual.
