It was the next day and I was feeling a bit better. My mom had to take me into the doctors last night so I could get some blood work done. I didn't mind needles much. But now I was in the car on my way to school with my mom.

"Are you sure you don't want to stay home today?" She asked sounding concerned.

"Yes, I'm sure. Besides, I have a busy day today." I smiled.

Today was the day that I was going to ask Robyn to the prom. I was so nervous but also super excited. We pulled up to the school and I got out and closed the door, waving to my mom as she drove away.

I walked inside and met up with Alex and my other good friends. I didn't tell them anything about last night or the fact I was going to ask Robyn to the prom because they'll make it a big deal.

The bell rang and I made my way to drama. My plan was to sing my solo and then ask her to the prom after. I sat down and Robyn came in and sat next to me instead of her friends which I found surprising. She smiled at me as she grabbed her script from her bag.

"How are you Noah?" She asked.

"I'm fine, how about you?" I asked in return.

"I'm good." She smiled.

"Have you practiced yet?" She asked.

"No, I had a... Busy night." I sighed.

"Oh." She sighed.

"Ok everyone," started the teacher as she stood on the stage.

"We're going to get started so everyone come on the stage with your scripts ready." She explained as she came back down to sit in her chair.

We all got on the stage and sat down.

"Alright, 3, 2, 1, action!" She smiled.

We started reading the script and as we got closer to my solo the more nervous I became, but I was ready. I was mostly scared of her turning me down but I don't see why she would.

The time came. I sang my solo. As the music ended I stood up and smiled.

"Robyn?" I asked.

Her head perked up from her script as she looked back at me along with everyone else.

"Will you be the Sandy to my Danny at the prom?" I asked with a huge grin on my face.

She looked at me in shock as a huge smile appeared on her face. She nodded as she quickly stood up and hugged me. Everyone clapped and her friends even cheered. I sighed in relief and sat back down.

The bell rang and I was on my way to science. Robyn caught up to me in the halls.

"Hey Noah." She smiled.

"Hi Robyn." I smiled back.

"Thank you." She smiled.

"For?" I asked.

"Asking me to the prom." She shrugged.

"I'm excited." I smiled.

"Me too." She smiled as she kissed me on the cheek slightly speeding up to catch up with her friends.

My face was hot and I'm sure quite red.

"Did she just kiss you?" Alex asked as he appeared from behind me.

"Ah- God damnit Alex, don't you have better things to do besides scare the shit out of me?" I asked.

"No, and did she actually kiss you?" He asked again.

"Yes, are you gonna tease me now?" I asked.

"Are you kidding, dude this is a score on your part." He laughed.

"Ok, keep your voice down." I demanded.

We walked into class and sat down in our regular seats. From across the room I could see all of Robyn's friends smiling and gazing at me.

"Is Jayden not here today?" I asked.

"No, he wasn't in gym class, he probably just skipped though." Alex shrugged.

"But he actually likes gym class." I sighed.

"Dude, don't worry about it." He sighed.

Class started and I couldn't help but worry. Worry that maybe he was skipping to hunt down my sister. No, stop, get it out of your head Noah. Just go with what Alex said, he's just skipping, he skips all the time. Right? Maybe the police got him or maybe he's sick. I couldn't stop thinking about it and I couldn't help but ask,

"Do you think he's raping my sister?" I asked.

"Dude! What the hell!? No, I don't!" He exclaimed.

"Why are you so surprised?" I asked.

"He's not going to rape her!" He exclaimed.

"Are you kidding me!? That's all he's been trying to do! Are you on my side or his?" I asked.

"I'm not choosing sides." He sighed.

"Alex!" I yelled.

He sighed.
