(Naofumi POV)

My name's Naofumi Iwatani. I was a university student before being summoned to another world, where I have to fight against the waves of calamity, as one of the 4 heroes summoned. Unfortunately I got chosen to be the sheild hero, I don't know why but the sheild hero gets nothing but crap just cause he has a sheild. And adding insult to injury I was framed for almost raping the princess when I didn't do anything, and cuz of that the whole kingdom thinks I'm nothing more but scum.

"Master Naofumi, are you alright?"- Raphtalia

This is Raphtalia, she's a slave I bought in order to help me level up. For some reason the shield is the only thing I can use when I first got here I tried to use a sword but it wouldn't let me just the shield. So Raphtalia here is my sword I'm not going to lie but, I kinda like here company even though she's still a kid.

(Keep in mind this is before the fight with......hmmm... what was his name again?....oh right fuck boy/ spear hero. So he still thinks of her and sees her as just a kid)

"Worry about yourself, I'll be fine."- Naofumi

I get she's worried but, I kinda started to despise everything about this world. All because of that bitch that set me up for no reason, I was so distracted that I didn't notice I bumped into someone. Great I'm probably going to be given crap again, or so I thought.

"Oh sorry about....wait.....Naofumi!?"-???

'Huh? That's the first time someone other then Raphtalia and the other 3 heroes called me by my name. Infact how the hell does this guy even know my name?'- Naofumi

I took a closer look at the the person who I bumped into and he looks way different then what I would expect from a regular towns person.
