fred's pov.
the battle had been over, for weeks now. and everyone was moving on slowly, but surely. mum and dad had finally accepted the fact that everything would be different now, that it had changed, but that they still had us...all of us. and harry. and 'mione.
hermione.
she seemed to have suffered most out of all of us. lost her family, her home, and that could cause a bloody identity crisis if it was bad enough. poor 'mione. losing all that, her encounter with bellatrix, near death encounters...she hadn't had an easy time. and you could see it. she was tired, poorly.
hermione was one of those people who always seemed to be doing just fine on her own. heck, i'd told her that during her sixth year at hogwarts, when she stood in our joke shop studying tiny pink bottles of love potion with ginny. but now i wasn't so sure. did she need someone? i knew she had ginny, but that kind of support was different. i mean, ginny had harry. bill had fleur. everyone seemed to be latching on and finding these companions, settling down together. did hermione want that? or was she okay on her own, like i always thought she had been?
