Dipper - Gravity Falls

Chapter 5

Isabella's P.O.V

I woke up this morning to a flash blinding me. I rubbed my eyes and noticed that I had my head on Dippers shoulder, and he had his armed wrapped around me. I didn't remember going to sleep like that, we must have moved around during the night. I was so embarrassed. I cuddled up with a stranger that I had only known for a couple of hours. I immediately pulled away and could feel a blush forming on my cheeks. I mean Dipper was kind of cute...Wait, WHAT!? No, Isabella, you have Luke back home waiting for you. There will be no crushing on a stranger. I said lecturing myself internally. I then looked at Mabel who had a strange look in her eye. She definitely has something planned. I decided to apologize to Dipper for sleeping on him, even though it was comfortable. Ugh, Isabella STOP!

"Hey Dipper," I said, and he turned and looked at me "I'm really sorry about sleeping on you last night. I really have no idea how that happened".

"Oh, its no problem, it was actually pretty comfortable" Then realizing what he said Dipper face palmed, and turned away from me. Mabel then whispered something to him, and his eyes widened and he started blushing. He then elbowed his sister who whined in response. They then started pushing each other until the bus driver announced that we had arrived.

The twins and I got off the bus and grabbed our luggage. I was kind of sad that I probably wouldn't get to see the twins again. Suddenly Mabel rushed over to me and hugged me tightly. 

"I'll miss you Isabella" She said as a few tears escaped from her eyes. I hugged her back, and before she walked away she handed me a piece of paper with her and Dippers phone numbers. I folded it and put it in my pocket. Dipper then turned around as him and Mabel walked away. He hesitantly waved goodbye, and I waved back smiling.

Mom had told me to wait near the bust stop, and that Stan would pick me up. I did as I was told and soon enough A car pulled up and a tall man with grey hair walked out.

"Are you Isabella?" He asked making sure that I was the right person he was supposed to be picking up.

"Yup" I replied

"Alright I'll put your luggage in the trunk, and you can sit upfront with me. I have to pick up some other kids, so it might be a while until we get back to my house." He said while taking my suitcase.

I walked around the side of the car and got into the seat. Mabel and Dipper were the only other kids that I saw on the bus, so I was secretly hoping it was them. I pushed that thought away though. I mean the chance of that happening were really slim. As we pulled out of the bus station I saw Dipper and Mabel sitting together on a bench. Then the car came to a sudden stop, and I was jolted forward.

"Woah, sorry kiddo. Let me just get those two kids." he gestured at Dipper and Mabel. He then got out of the car and went towards them. 

I couldn't believe it. I was going to be staying with Dipper and Mabel for the whole summer! As  soon as Dipper and Mabel were in the car and safely buckled up I turned around to face them and said, "Long time no see".

Mabel then screamed my name and Stan swerved the car definitely not expecting that reaction from her.

"Never make that noise again," He said rubbing his forehead.

"Sorry," Mabel said as I chuckled lightly not wanting to make Stan angry.

On the way to his house, Stan explained that he was short on rooms, so all 3 of us would be staying in the attic. I didn't mind too much. It just meant that every night would be like a sleepover with Mabel and Dipper. But when he said that there were only 2 beds I started to get nervous. I awkwardly fidgeted in my seat, and Stan must have noticed because he then said, "Or one of you could take the couch".

Dipper, Mabel, and I all looked at each other and then I suggested that I take the couch. Everyone agreed but Mabel seemed to have something on her mind. I didn't take her expression seriously though because I could just be overthinking things.

Soon we pulled up to a cabin that had big letters that spelled Mystery Shack on the roof. This was the place that came up while I was doing research. This was what Stan called his house? I was not looking forward to staying here. It seemed really creepy, and I get scared pretty easily.

Stan struggled to get all 3 of our luggage into the shack, but he finally did without dropping anything. Soon the 3 of us made our way up to the attic while Stan disappeared somewhere. Mabel insisted that I at least keep my suitcase upstairs even though I was sleeping on the couch. I agreed not seeing the harm in it. We were all unpacking our clothes making small talk with each other. I decided to text my Mom that I had safely arrived when I realized that there was no service at the mystery shack.

"Guys there's no service here" I announce to Dipper and Mabel. They immediately grabbed their phones and exclaimed that they didn't have service either.

Dipper then suggested that we head out into town to try to find somewhere with wifi that way we could all text our parents that we had arrived in Gravity Falls.

After we told Stan where we were going we headed out. We saw a diner called Greasy's. We decided to go in, and it turns out that they did have wifi. I quickly made a post on snapchat and Instagram that I was in Gravity Falls for the whole summer, and would probably not have service most of the time. It turned out that Dipper and Mabel's parents wouldn't let them have social media, so I let Mabel play around with the snapchat filters. We were all having a good time but noticed that it was getting kind of late. We decided to head back to the Mystery Shack before it got dark since we didn't really know our way around Gravity Falls that well yet. 

Once we arrived we ate dinner with Stan, and he agreed to let us each pick something from the gift shop. Dipper picked a blue and white hat with a pine tree on it, Mabel picked a grappling hook, and I picked a black and white pearl choker.

The three of us walked back up to the attic to get changed into our pajamas. Mabel insisted that she pick out what pajamas I wear, and I agreed. She went through my suitcase throwing clothes everywhere in the process. She finally decided on a white shirt that had the famous black eyelashes on them, and some black shorts. Once she picked out her stuff she rushed downstairs to change leaving me and Dipper alone. I started to put away the clothes that Mabel had thrown everywhere, and Dipper started to help me. We accidentally brushed our hands together a couple of times, and I'm pretty sure each time that happened my blush got a little more prominent. Soon Mabel came back up and it was my turn to change. 

Once I was done I found Mabel downstairs on the couch watching some t.v. Right before I sat down next to her she told me that Dipper needed my help with something upstairs. Once I reached the attic I saw Dipper shirtless. I froze unsure of what to do. I didn't think he saw me yet, so I rushed back down the stairs. 

Mabel then looked at me innocently and said, "Oh no I must have forgotten he was changing"

I then went over and punched her shoulder playfully. She laughed then said, "Well, did you like what you saw?" She asked while wiggling her eyebrow.

"MABEL!" I yelled while I punched her shoulder again.

I mean Dipper was definitely cute, and I have to admit that I did like what I saw. However, I was never going to admit that to Mabel. She was his sister and that would just be awkward. God, I hope I'm not developing a crush on Dipper.
