Dipper - Gravity Falls

Chapter 30

Dipper Pine's P.O.V.

I regret everything up until now. I should have never stormed off into the woods. Somehow Bill took over my body. My spirit was just imprisoned here while Bill was out there with Mabel and Isabella. I didn't trust him. He always said that he wanted to break up Isabella and I's relationship. That's probably what he's doing right now. My hands had bright yellow glowing handcuffs that prevented me from escaping. Suddenly the bright white walls were filled with a new image.

Isabella was about to fall to her death.

"Pull her up Dipper" Ford yelled 'NOW"

I stared in terror as Isabella started saying goodbye.

"Ford, tell Mabel she was the best friend I ever had, and tell Stan thank you for everything he did for me," She said

There was so much hurt and anger behind her eyes

I had to find some way to get back into my own body. If not Isabella was going to fall to her death. I would never let that happen. Before I could think of a plan I felt the wind whipping my hair and I heard Ford yell 

"NOOOOOOO"

I was back in my own body. I reached down and grabbed Isabella's wrist. She was dangling off the robot with her eyes closed. She must not have known that I was holding her.

"Uncle Ford help" I yelled struggling to keep her from falling.

It was like she was dead weight. She didn't actually want to fall, did she?

Ford rushed over and helped me pull Isabella up. If I ever saw Bill again I was going to kill him. Isabella is going to hate me. She's never going to believe me about Bill. I had to tell her though. I can't believe Bill just left me to catch her at the last second before she fell.

Finally, we managed to get her up. I pulled her into a hug, but she pushed me away tears flowing down her cheeks.

"How could you Dipper?"

I knew that I deserved it. All because I was scared that she wouldn't like me anymore once she saw my birthmark. Stupid Dipper. Stupid. I yelled at myself internally.

"I-"

"Save it. I hate you" She said coldly

It seems like she was surprised by the words that came out of her mouth too. Her eyes widened and she turned away from me. I was devastated to see her this way. All I wanted was to comfort her and tell her I didn't mean for all of this to happen.

Before I knew it we were back at the Mystery Shack she locked herself in the bathroom and wouldn't let anyone in, not even Mabel.

Stan came over and gripped my shoulders tightly, "If you ever almost let her fall to her death again I swear to god..." He didn't finish that sentence. Instead, he let go and walked away.

I explained to Mabel what happened, and of course, she believed me. Convincing Isabella, however, would be much harder.

A couple of hours had passed and finally, Ford came and talked to me. I had kept the walkie talkie Mabel gave me earlier just in case she had news about Isabella.

"I know about Bill," Ford said sitting next to me

"If you knew why didn't you help me?" I asked

"Because I wanted to see how you would handle it," He said smiling "Which you did extremely well by the way". 

I didn't know exactly how I felt about Ford yet. He seemed trustworthy, but I had only just met him.

"Bill has been my nemesis for years, and it seems like you feel the same way about him. How would you feel if you and Isabella stayed here in Gravity Falls for the school year? You both have potential and I can tell that you two work well together," he said smiling

I thought about his offer. It sounded exciting and would give me a chance to spend time with Isabella. But I had promised Mabel that coming to Gravity Falls wouldn't change anything. Once we got back we were planning to have the best year ever. We were going to celebrate our birthdays and make tons of new friends.

"What about Mabel?' I asked

"Well, she'll go back to California and have a great year."

"But-"

"Trust me Dipper, it would be best for both of you. You can't let your sibling hold you back from your true potential. I did, and look where it got me: sucked into a portal. You deserve this opportunity Dipper. Don't throw it away just for Mabel" He said cutting me off

"I'll do it. For Isabella" I replied

I then looked over at the walkie talkie in my bag and remembered that it was on the whole time. Mabel had just heard everything.
