One Night

Of all the things I could wish for,
I wished for it to rain.
Just like the night I met you while catching the train.
Took the umbrella from the forgotten corner,
The one that you handed me.
Trudging through the bustling lanes,
While rain washed the city.
Smiling I reached the coffee shop,
Where I saw you first.
The one where we had our first Tea,
And where I use to work.
Walking alone on these streets,
It seems a little insane.
Just for a single glance,
Just to see you again.
Continued walking for a little longer,
Almost lost in thoughts.
And found myself standing in front of the house that you were born.
Everything is still the same,
Like nothing has changed since that night.
The flowers are still blooming,
And your windows are still gleaming bright.
Everything is still the same,
Just not you and me.
You live in another city,
While I'm still living this day dream.
