// STORY
The rest of Delilah's day consisted of nothing but free time to herself. Something she didn't know what to do with. She had gotten so used to the hectic scheduling of it all that she almost forgot what it felt to just sit back for a bit and spend it solely eating a pint of ice cream and jamming out to a good playlist created by herself. The article release itself had her all over the place. Tom had left her a couple of messages after it's release, none that she opened yet. Part of her feared that somehow her heart would end up broken. She didn't understand how she could care so much for his opinion on it, but it mattered. It didn't even matter that the article was out or what the news reporters thought. It was more about what Tom thought about the situation. She decided to push all of it to back of her head. Just for the moment. Knowing the person she was, it would creep back eventually. Just not now.
She connected her phone to her Bluetooth speaker and crossed her fingers that no neighbors would come to much complains. Not today. Her volume was practically on full blast as she played 'Don't Rain On My Parade' by Barbra Streisand. She slipped her jeans off and let her oversized shirt hangover her entire body. Even the fact that her hair was up began to bother her, so she took it down. Hair strands in her face and all, she sang at the top of her lungs to every single word. She sang them into a wooden spoon she had swiftly grabbed from the kitchen. Her audience, was the furniture that laid made up her home and some of the boxes she still hadn't managed to unpack. She hopped from couch to couch through every verse.
She was just fully getting into the song when she managed to hear a loud bang on the door. She could have sworn it could have knocked the door down if it continued. The assumption that a neighbor came to a complain was the first thing that came to mind, so she brought the volume down. "Sorry." Her voice sort of sounded weak from all the loud singing. She laughed with her apology as if she really wasn't sorry, which she sorta wasn't. Harsh to say but she was enjoying herself. "Delilah? Can we talk?" Her eyes widened at the voice as she quickly picked up the jeans off the floor and slipped them back on. She fumbled around and completely turned down the music. Her palms became sweaty as she released grip on her spoon. She ran to open the door, catching her breath as if she just ran the longest marathon from the couch to the door. "Tom what are you doing here?"

I want their story line to obviously progress a bit quicker then this so I am going to take time to figure it out.
