The Prince of Hearts

New Look

Ace was in his dorm room getting ready for his first ever croquet practice. He spent most of yesterday remaking his croquet outfit his t-shirt which was Blue,white and gold was now Red,Black and gold with the auradon prep crest in matching colours. The shorts were black with red and gold hearts and shoes which were white and gold with black hearts. And for the finishing touch he painted a red heart over his right eye.

He took a look in his vanity mirror and smiled. Just as he was about to leave with his flamingo mallet shuffle jumped onto his shoulder. "You want to come to" he asked the small hedgehog. It nodded and rubbed its self against Aces cheek causing Ace to giggle.

Ace then left his dorm and went to the croquet field when he got there he saw Piper,Adagio and Elle were already there. "Hello" Ace said to them. The three turned to him smiling but as soon as they saw Aces uniform they all quickly went wide eyed. "What is something wrong" he asked. "What happened to your uniform" Piper asked.

"I I didn't like it s-So I changed it I'm sorry" Ace said. "For what it looks great" Elle said smiling. "R-really" Ace asked surprised. "Yeah" they all said. "Can you make us new uniforms" Elle asked. "Ok I I guess but we have to start if we want to win" Ace said. They all nodded in agreement. Ace took out a deck of cards and waved his hand and the cards all made pegs.

"In order to win you have to get your ball to hit the wooden pole and get it threw the pegs" Ace said. They all
Nodded and picked up flamingo mallets. And Ace didn't know why but he started to smile at this.

After Croquet practice was done Ace Changed onto his normal clothes (picture above) and began to make his way to his next class when he saw Carlos and Evie walking slowly towards Mal and Ben. "What are you doing" Ace asked. "Nothing Ace" Evie said. "It looks like you are" Ace said. "Uh hey Ace are you going to come to the tourney match today" Carlos changed the subject. "Will it be loud and noisy" Ace asked. "Possibly" Carlos said. "Then sorry no it will hurt my ears" Ace said shaking his head. "It's ok Ace we under" "MAAAAL" a voice sang loudly making Ace step back whimpering. "Shh shh it's ok Ace it was just Ben" Carlos said rubbing his back. "But why did he do it" Ace asked confused.

"Uhh I'll explain later" Carlos said. "Hey Ace do you want me to walk you to class" Evie asked offering her hand. ace nodded and took it and Evie walked him to his next class with Ace with so many questions in his head. "So Ace how was your lunch" Evie asked. "I was at Croquet practice" Ace said. "Oooo how did that turn out" Evie said. "It was fun they were good when I explained the rules to them" Ace said. "Oh I bet you did" Evie giggled. "What's  funny" Ace asked confused. "Nothing sweetie" Evie said.

The two stopped in front of Aces classroom. "Ok have fun sweetie me and Carlos will stop by your dorm later ok?" Evie said gently to him. "When?" Ace asked. "After the tourney game ok" Evie said Ace nodded and went inside.

"Your really gentle with him" a voice said making Evie jump. She turned and saw Doug. "Oh Doug you scared me" Evie said. "I'm sorry I was just on my way to the tourney game and I saw you and Ace" Doug said. "It's fine I was just dropping him off at his classroom" Evie said. "Your really close with him aren't you" Doug asked.

"Back in the Isle Ace was always a easy target he didn't have many friends so I tried to look out for him" Evie said. "That's really nice of you" Doug said. "Yeah well that's me" Evie said. Doug couldn't help but Smile at Evie as she walked away.

Later Ace was busy at his sewing machine while Blanc and Carrie were playing snap. "What are you doing" Blanc asked. Ace stopped his machine. "I'm creating new outfits for the Croquet team" Ace said. "Ooo can I have a look" Carrie asked standing up and proceeding to look over Aces shoulder. Ace covered it.

"C-can you wait to the Croquet match" Ace asked. "Sure But I doubt we're going to win we never do" Carrie said sitting back down. Ace went back to his sewing machine and continued to sew for another half hour

When he was done he smiled at the end result and began to wrap them up carefully. "Blanc" Ace asked. "Yeah" Blanc asked turning to him. "Can you deliver these to Piper,Adagio and Elle" he asked. "Sure thing your Majesty" Blanc said.

Blanc picked them and opened up a rabbit hole and jumped in. Ace began to Tidy up the any loose threads or spare pieces of fabric. They heard a knock at the door. "I'll get it" Carrie said. Carrie opened the door and saw Evie and Carlos. "Oh bluey and whitey" Carrie said. "Is Ace In" Carlos asked."Yeah" Carrie said to them.

"Well can we see him" Evie asked. "Oh ok" Carrie opened the door for them and the both looked around.

They heard squeaking and saw Aces new Hedgehog chasing a bit of fabric. "Awwww so adorable" Evie said kneeling down to pet it. Carlos our down dude who proceeded to playfully chase Shuffle. "Doggy" Ace said pointing to Dude. "Hey Ace What are you doing" Carlos asked. "Tidying and why is there a doggy here you don't like doggy's" Ace said putting a pear of fabric cutting scissors away. "Well Carlos now likes dogs" Evie said and Carlos nodded.

"Oh ok but can you please tell the doggy to stop chasing shuffle Ace asked as both pets ran past them. "Sure thing bud" Carlos went and picked up Dude. "Thank you" Ace said. Suddenly they heard another knock at the door and Evie went and opened it and Mal and Jay came In causing Ace to whimper.

"Hey hey it's ok" Carlos said. "What's wrong with him" Carrie asked. "Uh I sort of scare him" Mal said rubbing the back of her neck. "Look bud me and Mal wanted to say we're sorry for all the stuff we did to you" Jay said kneeling down to his level. "R-really" Ace said. Mal knelt down to. "Yeah we are in sorry for all the stuff I pulled on you back home and I hope you can forgive me" Mal said sounding like the words out of her mouth were foreign and unknown.

"I-i guess I accept" Ace said rubbing his head with his finger. Suddenly a rabbit hole appeared in the floor shocking Mal,Jay,Evie and Carlos. Blanc jumped out of it rubbing his hands together. "All done Ace" Blanc said. He looked around and saw the four new people in the room. "Did I miss something I feel like I did" Blanc said.

"Well this is going to be hard to forget" Jay said. "Without a doubt" Mal said. Ace couldn't help but slightly giggle at their confusion.
