a day b4 karva chaut. arnav just finished his work and was going down. as he passes by anjaam's room he hears anjali telling shyam "koi bahana nahi chalega.aapko kya laga? aap hamesha kuch na kuch bahana ya reason bolenge aur hum chup chap maan jayenge. aapki chori pakdi jaa chuki hain.woh bhi rangey haath.ab aap bachkar nahi ja sakte".
shyam in his usual kaga-sab-tann-khayiyo-saath-me-mera-karnakatu(unbearable for ears)-awaaz-ko-bhi-khayiyo voice, "rani sahiba,aap hume galat samajh rahi hain.hum aapko batane hi wale the par..."
arnav eyes widen 'di ko sab kuch patha chal gaya?'
anji ,"nahi! hum aapko achchi tarah jante hain.har waqt naya bahana.pichle saal bhi humare saath aapne yehi kiya tha".
arnav is like 'what the hell is going on?'
anji, "agar aap chahte hain ki hum kal karva chaut mein yehi saadi pehnen, toh seedhe seedhe hume keh dete. aise chitti likhkar saadi ke andar rakhenge toh kya hume patha nahi chalega ki yeh aapne hi kiya hain.maante hain hume ye rang hume khaas nahi lagta. par ye aapki pasand hain. hum kal yehi saadi pehnenge. theek hai?" and hugged shyam. shyam gives mere-naak-mein-choolha-jalao smile.
arnav gritted his teeth but unable 2 do anything. now he comes near payash room when payal says 2 akash "kal hum yeh saadi pehnen? yeh aapki pasand ka rang hain na?"
akash ,"haan,tum iss saadi mein bilkul apsara dikhogi. aur haan, main bhi kal vrat rakh raha hoon." arnav is like 'wwwwwwwhhaaat......'
payal "arey nahi akash, aap office bhi jaa rahe hain na? aap thhak jayenge" she said cupping his face.
akash smiled ,"main office main hoon toh kya hua. aap bhi toh yahan din bhar kaam karti ho aur mere liye vrat rakh rahi ho. toh mein kyun nahi? ab khushiji ko hi lijiye,wo ghar ke bhi kaam sambhaalti hain aur dabba service ki bhi baagh dhaud karti hain phir bhi wo kal vrat rakh hi rahi hain na bhai ke liye?(payal nodded 'yes'), baath thakne ki nahi hain payal, pyaar ki hain.hum dono ek doosre ke sukh dukh mein baagh lete hain toh vrat mein kyun nahi. waise hi, khushiji bhi bhai se bahut pyaar karti hain aur unki chinta karti hain. tumhe yaad hain na? arnav bhai faint hue the tab unhone poori raat jaagkar unki dekhbaal ki.yeh sirf ek pyaar karne wali patni hi kar sakti hain."
"aur aap kal jaldi ghar aa jana. jab tak aap nahi aayenge hum vrat nahi thodenge.aapke haath se paani peekar hi hum vrat todenge. theek hain?" payal saying this hugged akash. arnav remembered that day when he broke khushi's fast making her drink water.
then he went down, drank water and went 2 sleep.
next day, rm was very busy doing preparations for karva chaut's evening.
khushi woke up early. after coming from bath wearing a pink anarkali suit. she went near arnav who was still sleeping. she touched his feet as to get pathi parmeshwar's arshirwaad and says "aap hain laad governor, phir aap sote hue bilkul maasoom bachche lagte hain.aaj hum aapke liye vrat rakh rahe hain. devi maiyya aapko lambi umar de, uske saath saath mithi jubaan bhi de" with her mischievous smile and went away to prepare dabbas.arnav was hearing that. he felt somewhat nice as somebody for first time touched his feet and took his ashirwaad.
he woke up and got ready. then he came to the dining table. anji "arey chhote tum aa gaye. aaj tumhe office se jaldi ghar aana hoga."
arnav "why di?"
anji "arey aaj karva chaut hain, khushiji ne aapke liye vrat rakha hain"
arnav " toh mein kya karoon? what is the big deal?i didnt tell her to do this vrat stuff."
nani "yeh aap kaisan baat kar rahe ho chhote? wo aapki pathni hain. shaam ko unhe vrat todna hain, woh bhi aapke hath se paani peekar. jab tak tum naa aaoge tab tak khushi bitia vrat nahi tod sakti hain. yeh humri gujaarish naaahi hain. aaagya(order) hain. akash bitwa 4 baje ghar aanewale hain, unke saath aap bhi.........aayenge."
arnav glared at his di. she approved what nani said.
arnav "unbelievable...." and said "di mujhe late ho raha hain. dont worry mein office main kuch kaa loonga."
saying this he got up and was abt to go when he bumped into his princess who was coming with the dabbas.
arnav "what the...."
khushi "waise what the... hum bhi bol sakte hain, kyunki aap humare dabbe gira dene wale the.."
arnav glared at her and said "aaj tum office mat aao. dabba mr.shukla ko keh doonga wo sambhaal lenge. no need 4 u 2 come to the office."
anji "haan khushiji ! chhote bilkul theek keh rahe hain. aapka vrat bhi toh hain na? aap thak jayengi.dekha, humare chhote aapka kitna khayal rakhte hain?"
khushi "theek hain di.. jaise aap kahen" and went with arnav till the door. on the way she muttered to herself but it was audible to arnav "khayal rakhte hain.... kya khaaak khayal rakhte hain? yeh toh office mein hume bardaash nahi kar pathe hain isliye aane se mana kar rahe hain. hume patha hain. hum vrat rakh rahe hain. aur yeh office mein thooos thooos kar khayenge woh....pijha, pustah aur gadbad"
arnav "that is pizza ,pasta and burger. khushi kumari gupta singh raizada..."
khushi raised her eyebrows, gave him his suitcase and went inside.
she reached the room. she opened the shelf to take out a saree to wear in the evening.she cudnt make a right choice.she closed the shelf and sat on bed. payal came there "khushi tumne saadi nikalkar rakhi hain na shaam ke liye?"
khushi "nahi jiji. samajh nahi aa raha hain kaunsi pehnen."
payal "arey pagal, toh arnavji se poochh lethi. woh toh zaroor bathayenge naa ki tu kis saadi mein unhe pasand aayegi?"
khushi gave her a dry smile and turned away to hide her adamant tears.
payal "nahi toh ek kaam karte hain. humari ek saadi tum pehen lena.bilkul nayi saadi hai aur woh rang bhi tum par bahut jachega. hum shaam ko tumhare kamre mein saadi rakh dein? pehnogi na?"
khushi "chalega jiji, hum aisa hi karte hain."
in the evening, khushi got fresh and came out of bath room. she saw a dark pink saree with deep green border lying on the bed. khushi smiled, "jiji ki pasand ki koi tulna (comparison)hi nahi hain. itni sundar saadi!!!!"
she got ready and was wearing jewels when anji came in. anji "arey waah khushiji!!!!!! aapne toh aaj karva chaut ki shobha hi badha di hain.aap bahut sundar lag rahi hain. aapko kisiki nazar na lage. aap neeche aa rahi hain na?"
khushi "haan di, arnavji ke aatehi hum aa jayenge."
anji "khushiji par chhote toh kab ke aa chuke hain. aur humne unke liye chai bhijwa di hain. aapko nahi patha?"
meanwhile arnav came in . he looked at his angel. he was lost in her . now he wanted to and kiss her whatever the situation maybe. he went near her. he kissed her and hugged her tightly saying "khushi ! tum itni sundar kyun ho???????"
khushi "chhodiye arnav ji"
arnav "no "
khushi "arnavji chhodiye naa!!!!!"
arnav "no"
anji "chhote chhodo usse."
arnav "no"

anji "chhote, chhodo tea cup ko" and shaked his hands pulling the tea
cup.
arnav came out of dream land. he realised dat he was dreaming(oowww

who was also staring at him. their eyes spoke to each other.
'do u like me in this saree?'
'yeah...u r looking like a soft pink rose with green leaves. i cant
take my eyes off u.my beautiful angel! y r u driving me sooo crazy

'u 2 do the same 2 me.but y r u standing der? cum n take me in ur

arnav stepped 4ward 2 khushi. he took 2 steps when anji said "chhote
tumhe khaane ke liye aur kuch chahiye? aaj tum office mein lunch nahi
kiye hoge na? akash keh rahe the tum dono bahut busy the.(chhote akash
told u both were busy and didnt eat lunch. do u want smthng?)"(hai re
nand kisore!!!!!!kabab mein haddi!dear akal se ganji snake jha, arshi
ko romance mein disturb ki tum dono ne deal sign kar rakhi hai kyaaa?

arnav stopped as he heard di's voice.
he said "a.a.. haan di wo... imp clients the toh time nahi mila. no
problem di ab chai pe liya na. baad mein kuch khaa loonga.(ya der were
imp clients. i had tea nw. and i ll hv smthng afterwards di)"
anji said "ok. chaliye khushiji. hum neeche chalte hain.chhote tum
ready hokar jaldi neeche aa jaiye.(ok khushiji lets go down. chhote
get ready and cm down soon.)"
anji went away. arshi looked each other hesitantly.
then arnav went to bathroom to get fresh.
meanwhile khushi called canteenwala shukla "hello shuklaji, humne
aapse kaha tha ki arnavji ko waqt par unka dabba de dena.wo kaam mein
hote toh bhi aapko dena chahiye tha na?(ive told u 2 give his dabba in
time even if he's busy. u shd hv given na?)"
shukla "par khushi bhabhi, sir 2 baje free ho gaye the. mein unke
cabin mein unka dabba le gaya tha. par sir ne dabba lene se mana kar
diya.kaha ki 'mujhe usme ka kuch nahi chahiye'(but bhabhi sir bcame
free at 2 pm. i gave dabba 2 him but he refused and told 'i dont want
n e thng from dat')"
hearing this khushi felt very bad,'hw can he hate me so strongly when
in turn i love.........'
arnav came out of bath room.
khushi asked "aapne office main kuch nahi khaaya na arnavji?hum aapke
liye pakode ya wafer le aayen?(u didnt eat nething in office right?
may i bring some pakoras or wafers 4 u?)"
arnav "no need. mind ur own business. mujhe tumhare hath ka kuch nahi
chahiye.(i don want ne thing from ur hands)"
khushi was sad and went out of the room.to change her mood she went 2
payal.
khushi "hum kaise lag rahe hain jiji iss saadi mein?"
payal "bilkul tumhari devi maiyya ki xerox lag rahi ho. bahut pyaari
hain humari khushi" she took some kajal from under her eyes and
applied khushi tika behind her ears," kisiki nazar naa lage meri
gudiya ko"
khushi hugged her jiji.
payal "achcha hua tum humari saadi nahi pehni. iss saadi ke saamne
humari di hui saadi toh phiki pad jati.(well u didnt wear my sari.
else it'll be nothing b4 this sari)"
khushi shocked "toh ye saadi aapne bed par nahi rakhi?(so u didnt keep
this sari on d bed?)"
payal "nahi. hum toh humari tayyari mein tumhe saadi dena bhool hi
gaye the.(i 4got to give u sari being busy here)"
khushi came down. she was thinking'who must hv kept this sari on my
bed ? di? no, she doesnot wear dark saris.'
she bumped into bubbly who was also seemed to be in some thought.
khushi "kya hua bubbliji?"
"mrs.Happy! mujhe ek doubt hai.plants ko pani dene se wo badhte hain
naa. lekin unko bhi evening fresh hone ke kiye chai pilana padta hain
?(i hva dbt.plants get water and they grow. but in eve, do they also
drink tea like us to bcome fresh?)"
khushi laughed "kyun, aap unhe chai pilana chahti hain?(do u wanna
give them tea or what?)"
"nahi aaj nahi, kal se main pilaoon?(no not 2day, may i give from
2morrow onwards?)".
khushi was confused, "bubbliji, aap humare saath mazaak kar rahi hain
na?" smiled pulling her cheeks and went towards her room.she went 2
poolside where she kept her pooja ki thaali. she bent down to take the
thaali when her eyes were fixed on the image she saw... her eyes
widen.
"ye kya hua...arnavji........" she said 2 herself in shock.
"yeh kya hua.... arnavji humare kapdon ke yahan kyaa kar rahe hain?(wat is doin with my clothes)"
khushi said to herself.
she waited in the poolside to see wat arnav is upto.
arnav took out a box and took out a piece of paper, tore it and put in dustbin.then he went out of room.
khushi came in and took those paper pieces from the bin. after
joining them, she found it to be receipt of payment for a pink green
coloured bead work designer saree. it was bought from a big famous
designer saree showroom. saree was worth 45,000 rs.
then wat khushi saw was unbelievable for her. the receipt was in the
name of arnav. khushi didnt understand whther to smile or get angry
or be happy or fight with arnav or to cry.
she went to arnav who was reading news paper in poolside. khushi
"arnavji"
arnav looked up. he didnt want to take his eyes off his own shiny moon.
but controlling his emotions he asked "nw wat's ur problem".
khushi "yeh saadi, jo humne pehni hain, k...k...kya ye aapne kharidhi
hain. dekhiye jhoot bolne ki koshish bhi mat kijiyega.humare paas
pakka saboot hain.(did u buy this sari? dont try to lie. i hv evidence
with me)"
arnav immediately stood up placing bluetooth on his ear " hello
aman.. haan maine tumhe uss deal ke baare main......" khushi snatched
the bluetooth from his ears and threw away "humare sawaal ka
jawaab dijiye arnavji(answer me arnavji)"
arnav grabbed her hands "hw dare u khushi? tumhari himmat kais..."
and he started coughing. khushi "arnavji kya hua?" he was coughing
badly.
khushi ran into the room and brought a glass of water "ye lijiye, pani
pijiye, khaansi(cough) rukh jayegi(drink water .u ll stop coughing)" saying this she took the glass near
his mouth.
arnav first opened his mouth, but suddenly pushed her hand with the
glass. water spilled down. khushi was shocked to see this avtaar of his.
arnav "i told u ki mujhe tumhare haath ka kuch nahi chahiye(i told i
don want nething from ur hands)".
khushi just kept staring at him as if 'ye kaisa insaan hai?'
arnav took long n fast steps to escape from her questions.
one thing is cleared to khushi that the sari she wearing was bought by arnav for her. but why shd he bhave like this nw? whats wrong with him? she didnt know the answer.

evening time!!!!!!
karva chaut pooja was going on. every couple was standing in front of each other. everyone saw the moon n then their respective husband's face through that filter (chhalni isn't it? i dunno much abt it. so sorry if i m wrong)first mami's vrat was over , then anji's, then payal's.
when payal was completing vrat, akash made her drink water. then nani said "payal bitia! ab app akash bitwa ko oohi pani pilaiye aur unka vrat aap thodiye" payal did so.
now it was khushi's turn.arnav was like 'when this drama will get over?'. khushi saw the moon and then arnav's face thru the chhalni. arnav noticed her silent tears, he also was hurt for hurting her. but he was tight. she did arti to him. put tilak on his forehead and touched his feet. arnav was shaken as a drop of her tear washed his feet. he felt as if something sharp like needle is pierced into his heart.
anji said "chhote, apne haath se khushiji ko paani pilayiye"
arnav did so. and then he was abt to go when his di called him. "chhote rukhiye."
arnav irritatingly said "nw wat di...........?"
anji "khushiji! ab app chhote ko pani pilakar unka vrat todiye."
khushi was shocked and surprised to hear this "kyaaa..........? arnavji ne .... vrat....."
arnav "di. aisa kuch nahi hain. aapko koi misunderstanding ho gaya hain."
anji "koi galat fehmi (MU) nahi hain chhote. hume patha hain. tumne subah nastha bhi nahi kiya, office mein lunch bhi nahi kiya, aur shaam ko humne jo chai di thi, wo bhi aapne paudhon(plants) par phek di tumne. yeh baat hume bubbli se patha chala. aur tumne subah se ab tak apna medicine bhi nahi khaya hain aur naa hi ek bhi ghoont pani piya hain. isse vrat naa kahen to aur kya kahen?(not MU, i know, u neither hd brekfast nor lunch. and u threw away the tea i gave u on the plants, i came to know this from bubbli. nor u took medicine since morning. nor u hd a single drop of water too. this only is called as vrat, nothing else)"
khushi recollected wat bubbli said abt plants, hw arnav refused 4 lunch, hw he didnt drink the water.
khushi looked at arnav with eyes filled with concern and love. arnav cudnt see her so he looked away.
anji "khushiji pani pilayiye chhote ko!!!!!!!!"
khushi made arnav drink water with her hands. arnav looked at her.
his eyes also filled with love and concern for her.
