Chapter 18

N I A L L *RIGHT AFTER AMY RAN OUT OF THE HOSPITAL*

"Niall, I need to talk to you." Harry said just as Amy ran out the room. I was kind of hurt when she left the room, but I can't be mad at her. I love her too much to be mad. "Everybody else; leave the room." He then said. Zayn and Louis walked out of the room with confused expressions and Harry sat down in the chair next to my bed.

"What do you wanna talk bout?" I whispered. I didn't have power in my voice. I wanted to shout Amy's name when she ran, but because of my voice, I couldn't.

"You never guess what Amy told me." He said.

"What did she say?" I asked.

"Let's just say this; you don't have to fake-date Vanessa anymore." He said with a sly smile. "Vanessa only made her madder, though.."

"Yeah, I figured out that when Amy practically kicked me out of her life." I said. "But what do you mean by 'you don't have to fake-date Vanessa anymore'?"

"Niall, this is the only chance you have to get Amy back!" He replied. "She told me something very interesting."

"What did she tell you?" I asked.

"She loves you, Niall, she loves you."

A M Y *NEXT DAY*

"Amy, I'm busy today so we can't have a girls night anyways." Mum told me though the phone. "Your aunt Ella is coming over today to help me plan your Dad's funeral."

"Yeah, okay." I replied. "But do you think you can take care of Darcy for today? The daycare is closed today and I need some time alone. She won't bother you and Ella, I promise."

"I don't know, Amy.."

"Please?" I asked.

"Fine, I'll do it." She replied. "But only because I love Darcy."

"Thanks, Mum." I said and smiled even though she couldn't see it. "Can you come over and pick her up? I don't feel like driving today."

"I'll do it, but now you owe me one." She replied.

"Okay." I said. "Darcy is eating her breakfast now, so she'll be ready soon."

"Fine, I'll be there in 5 minutes. Bye, sweetie!"

"Bye, Mum!" I said and hung up. I walked back into the kitchen where Darcy ate her berakfast and sat down next to her. "Grandma is gonna pick you up soon. You're gonna stay at her place for today."

"Yay!" Darcy cheered and clapped her hands.

"Now eat your food while I go pack your Frozen dolls, okay?" I said and she nodded. I got up from the chair and walked upstairs. I found one of her backpacks and packed all of her Frozen dolls.

Just as I finished packing the dolls, the doorbell rang. I hurried downstairs and opened the door. Mum stood there with a wide smile on her face.

"Why are you so happy?" I asked her.

"Can't I just smile?" She replied.

"I guess.." I said. "Darcy, come on!" I called out and waited for Darcy to come out of he kitchen.

"Grandma!" She cheered as she saw Mum. She ran over to Mum and hugged her legs. I knelt down to Darcy's level.

"Be a good girl, okay?" I told her and kissed her forehead. She nodded. "I'll pick you up later tonight. Bye, princess." I gave her a hug.

"Bye, Mummy!" She said.

"Let's go then, Darcy." Mum said and grabbed her hand. I gave Mum Darcy's backpack and then they headed outside.
