I woke up from a bad nightmare and it feels so real that it terrified me. I thought I wouldn't wake up because I was having a hard time opening my eyes.
I blinked my eyes a lot of times before my vision started to come back. I looked around the room and it was filled with flowers. Where am I?
I looked at my clothes and I realized that I am wearing a hospital gown. What happened to me? I looked at my hand and an IV was injected on me. I can feel a little throbbing on my head. I touched my head and there was bandage wrapped around it. I touched my stomach and I grunted. It was painful. Did I get wounded?
And then I realized that I was indeed wounded.
I gathered my memories and everything flash backed like it happened just recently.
I got shot.
I stopped Sean from killing himself but I ended up wounded instead.
I was about to get up but someone slowly pushed me back to the bed.
"You'll open up your wounds, Rae." Sebastian looked at me with tired eyes. He must have been watching over me when I was unconscious. "But I'm glad that you're finally awake."
"Sebastian." I gasped. Tears started to fall down my eyes. So, it's just a bad nightmare because it did happen. "I almost died."
"You're safe now." He kissed my forehead and I never felt the weight on my shoulder got lifted. "No one will harm you now and I promise you that."
"How is Sean doing?" I asked. I remembered that we were both lying on the floor. He passed out before I did. "Sebastian... You should know that Sean is a victim of emotional abuse. He's in pain and no one noticed it."
"I know." Sebastian said. "After the incident, he willingly confessed everything to Detective Parker. I realized that he was emotionally and mentally unstable. So, I checked him in on rehab."
"Is he going to be okay?"
"Maybe someday he'll be okay." Sebastian sighed. "I didn't know that he had a rough childhood because of our father. I unknowingly tortured my brother because I was happy."
"Sebastian..." I hold his hand. "It wasn't your fault."
"I think checking him in on rehab is the most brotherly thing I have done for him." Sebastian said. "You should be mad at Sean for what he has done to you but yet you feel sorry for him."
"We're all victims, Sebastian... And all of us will get through this."
Mom went inside the room and when she saw me that I am awake, she approached me and hugged me.
"I'm glad you're awake." Mom said in relief.
"I'll leave you two to catch up, Mrs. Stone." Sebastian said. Mom agreed and he left the room. Why do I feel like he's more wounded than I am?
"How long was I unconscious?" I asked.
"You were unconscious for three days." Mom said. "You were badly wounded but I'm just glad you were immediately rushed in the hospital. I almost lost you, Raven."
"I'm sorry that I made you worry, Mom." I said. She sat beside me and I rest my head on her shoulder. "I promise this is my last visit at the hospital."

Today is my last day at the hospital. I stayed here for a week since the doctors want to thoroughly check on me since I lost a lot of blood. My parents tend to visit me after their working hours and Claire always dropped by to bring me takeout food and we eat it together as we watch her favorite reality tv show.
