Chapter 22 - Driving and Pizza

Virgil's POV
I have been driving for 3 hours now in silence. I feel as if someone had stolen my car radio.
"They fell asleep in the car I drove the whole time. But that's okay I'll just avoid the holes so you guys sleep fine." I say to myself.
"Twenty one pilots Tear in my heart?" I hear Patton say.
"Shh go back to sleep Pat."
"Oh okay I will." He says
I get my phone and put in my ear buds. I play music so I don't have to sit in silence.
Some random music plays. All Fall out Boy and Panic! At the Disco. Then I hear the g note.
"Fuck." I say to myself

"We love you MCR!" I say. Then I turn off my music.
"Virgil. Are you okay?" Logan asks
"Yeah. Other then I just got G noted. I am fine." I tell him.
"Okay I am going back to sleep." Roman says.
"Roman it is your turn to drive." Logan says.
"Do I have to."
"Yes Roman." Patton says.
I pull over and switch spots with Roman.
"Okay lets get going." Roman says.
"Okay. Roman you will be okay."
"I know. Because I have you by my side."
"Yeah actually, i am going to the back and going to sleep."
"Really!" He yells
"No Roman. I am staying up here with you."
"Good."
Roman and I sit and talk about random stuff with Disney songs playing in the background.
"Virgil is there anything bothering you?" I freeze. I think I should tell him about the dreams.
"Well. Um. You know how I had that one dream the other day?"
"Yeah. Is everything okay?"
"Roman. I am still having the dreams."
"Virgil. It is okay are they getting worse?"
"Yeah. The insults from um my d-Dad are getting worse."
"Oh babe. I wish I could help you."
"I just wanted them to stop."
"I understand. And trust me they will maybe since you told me about them they will stop?"
"Maybe?"
We start talking about other things. Then we drive next to a pizza hut. I look at Roman and he looks at me. He pulls into the pizza hut.
"Get up. We are eating food." Roman says
"Really?" Logan says.
"Pizza Hut!!!" Patton says as he gets out of the car. We all laugh. We get a place to sit at.
"What do you guys want to drink?" The waitress asks.
"Root Beer." Roman says
"Water." Logan says
"Pink Lemonade." Patton says
"Um... Ski?" I say
"Okay." She says and leaves
"What are we going to eat?" Logan asks.
"I want thin Pepperoni." Roman and I say at the same time.
"Pat?"
"Cheese please."
"Okay. Do you want anything else?"
"May I have this brownie thing. Please Logan."
"I guess."
"You really can't tell him no can you." I say
"No I can't." Logan says.
We order our food and laugh and talk a lot.
"Hey guys did you know this Friday there is a parade here?" I say
"Omg. I want to go!" Patton says.
"We will see." Logan says
"What kind of parade?" Roman asks.
"They have a parade about cultures and stuff. Then after ward they have a big festival. At least that is what it looks like on that poster."
"Fun." Roman says.
"I hope we can go." Patton says.
"Well only 2 more hours till College City." I say
"Thank god. I want to finally stay in one place." Patton says.
"I guess we could stay till Friday and then go home Saturday." Logan asks
"We should." Roman says.
They all look at me.
"I guess we can."
We get our food and enjoy it. We laugh and talk about stuff. Then get a to go box for the pizza then we pay and tip the waitress. I pay 2, Roman pays 2, Logan pays 3, and Patton pays 4.
"That brownie thing was so good!" Patton says as we talk out of Pizza Hut.
"I bet." I say
"Who is driving now?" Roman asks
"I am!" Patton says.
"Roman will you sit with me in the very back?" I ask Roman.
"Yes I will."
I sit in the window seat and Roman sits in the middle. Logan sits next to Patton in the front. Roman laid on me and we cuddled.
"I love you." I tell him as I kiss the top of me head.
"I love you too." He says.
"Is anything bothering you?"
"No why?"
"I just wanted to make sure my Roman was okay." I say as I smile.
"Everything is great."
"Good."
Roman and I ended up falling asleep there. Then we came to a stop and Logan and Patton woke us up.
"Get up love birds." Patton says
"I'm up." I say
"I'm cold." Roman says. I smile.
"We are at the hotel. Let's get ready." Logan says
We get our stuff and we go into the hotel. Since there were no hotels in College City we were 25 minutes away from the town in the hotel. Roman and I had our own rooms and Patton and Logan had there's.
"Ugh this bed is comfy." Roman says as he plops down on the bed. I plop down next to him.
"Yes it is." I say.
"I am going to take a shower. I will be back in a few." Roman says. As he showers I get everything set up. Then Patton calls.
"Hey Pat."
"Hi kiddo. My dad's are 10 minutes away."
"Okay. We will be in your room in 5."
"Okay."
We hang up as Roman walks out of the bathroom in pants and a white shirt.
"Who was that?" He asks
"Patton. His dad's will be here in 10."
"Okay. May I wear a hoodie of yours?" He asks
"Didn't you bring your own?"
"Your are comfortable and they smell like you. Please." He says.
I grab a hoodie from my bag and walk up to him. I kiss him on his lips. He kisses me back. I pull away as I give him my hoodie. He smiles.
"Let me guess I'm not going to get that back?"
"Nope never." I laugh. He puts on my hoodie and we head to Patton's hotel room.
