Doctor's Orders (Bowser X Luigi)

Chapter 2: Toxic Behavior

The sun beamed through Luigi's window hitting him in the face causing him to wake up. It was time to start another day at the hospital. He sat upon his bed and checked the clock. It was almost 6 am, which was very early even for Luigi. Some days he wishes he could just sleep in, but a janitors work is never done. He got dressed in his casual cleaning attire and went to make himself breakfast. He wanted to make Mario something as well, but he doesn't get up until a few hours later than him. "I guess he'll make his own breakfast".

Luigi walked into already to be bumped into by Wario. Luigi would often see Wario early in the morning and since it was Wario he would always have something smart to say. "Watch where you're going cleaning boy". "I have a name". Wario sniffed and chuckled," Janitor's names aren't worth remembering". Wario walked off laughing as Luigi's face got red with anger. Ever since Luigi became a Janitor Wario has done nothing but tease him, but acts all innocent when around others. Luigi cooled off for a bit and sighed," I should get to work". Luigi walked to the Janitor's closet and began to collect his things as he heard another familiar voice. "Hey, Lui~". A very firm Pat was given on his back. "Oh, Waluigi it's you". "Just thought I'd check up on my favorite person before I head over to my floor". Luigi was kinda iffy when it came to Waluigi. Unlike Wario, Waluigi could be your dear friend one minute and your worst enemy another minute. "Got anything fun to do", Waluigi asked. "just clean", Luigi said. Waluigi chuckled and patted his shoulder before walking away. (He can be a creep sometimes). Luigi finished setting his cart up and began his rounds on each floor. It was very early in the morning so not a lot of Doctors are around. Luigi liked that because he was able to get around pretty quickly. He made it to the top floor of the hospital and saw Toadsworth sitting at his desk doing paperwork. Not only was Toadsworth a head Doctor but he was also the Director. He saw that Wario was in the room with him talking to him, but it seemed like Toadsworth wasn't interested. Luigi knocked on the door drawing the attention from Wario to him. Toadsworth gave him the ok to come in and Wario stopped talking. He got up from near Toadsworth. "Think about it old man hehe". Wario left, but on his way out he gave Luigi a mocking grin. Luigi shrugged it off and began to a bit of cleaning around Toadsworth's office. "Good morning", Luigi said. Toadsworth smiled and gave Luigi a small nod. Ever since Luigi's parents passed Toadsworth felt like another father to him, he could always come and talk to him when he needed some advice. "Any interesting surgeries"? "Well- I removed a set of keys from a goomba's stomach, repaired a Koopa's shell. Nothing new". Toadsworth smiled jokingly at Luigi," any surgeries you needed to attend to". "Well I removed a rubber ducky from a toilet, that was new". They both chuckled. Silence filled the room until Toadsworth spoke again. "Y'know if you're ready, you could take your test again". Luigi froze as he was cleaning his shelf. He couldn't imagine taking the test again and failing. "I'm fine". Luigi finished his cleaning and quickly left the room. Luigi wanted to be a doctor like his friends, but he didn't have the heart to do it.

Luigi made it to the last floor of the building and heard voices echoing down the halls. He followed to see Mario and Wario arguing in one of the Science rooms. Waluigi was leaning against a wall peaking in the room with a smirk. Yoshi and Toad were also there looking as well. "What's going on", Luigi asked. "Yoshi don't know". Luigi looked in as well to see the argument unfold.

"For the last time No Wario"
"But my medicine works and you know it, not only that the price is very reasonable with the chemicals I use".
"You're medicine has a 25% chance of working and a 75% chance of becoming a poison".
"So, it's a risk that needs to be taken"
"You can easily kill someone with this Wario, what don't you get, plus charging thousands of dollars for a drug that could most likely kill you is absurd".
"None of you get it, none of you, we can't keep running this hospital of everything is low in price".

Wario stormed out the room and Waluigi cheerfully followed behind. Luigi felt really concerned for his brother, he seemed very agitated. Mario's eyes bolted to the door to see all three of them standing there. "Don't you have work to do". Luigi, Toad, and Yoshi quickly went their separate ways before they got into serious trouble. Luigi walked to a different area and started to clean. He heard heavy footsteps coming towards him. He turned to see Bowser standing by him. Luigi began to get a bit nervous. "Um can I help you with something", Luigi asked without giving him eye contact. Bowser grumbled a bit. "There is going to be a meeting tonight with various doctors from different districts. I need you to stay late today". Luigi sighed a bit, he'd often had to stay late because of these meetings and sometimes they would leave a bit of a mess. "Sure I'll make sure to stay then". Bowser took two steps away and stoped. "Luigi", Bowser said. Luigi looked back at him over his shoulder. "Don't have your nose in other people's business". Bowser walked away and Luigi gulped. He knew he was referring to yesterday when he saw him and Peach arguing. He went back to his cleaning so he could make sure there wasn't a lot for tonight.

It was night and the hospital got very quiet. It was normally like this die to the fact that the only people around were a few doctors. Luigi sat outside of the meeting room nodding off a bit as he waited for the meeting to be over. He noticed Waluigi sitting around a corner waiting as well. What made it odd to Luigi was how he was sitting in a way where he couldn't really be seen. Luigi ignored it as he waited. The meeting seemed to go on for hours and Luigi was starting to feel restless. He could see through the windows of the room that they seemed to be having a very in-depth conversation. By studying their facial expressions Luigi could tell that whatever was being discussed wasn't all good. Wario the most noticeable appeared to be very agitated. "What could they be talking about"? Luigi watched as they all got up from their seats and proceeded to exit the room. "Wario was quickly greeted by Waluigi and they walked the rest of the way together until out of view. Mario and Peach walked out together and they started talking. Bowser watched them both with disgust on his face and he went back to his office which was two doors down from the meeting room. Mario gave Luigi a quick wave 'bye' and left with peach. Toadsworth was the last to leave along with all the other doctor's he's never seen before. Luigi got his cleaning cart and began to get to work.

As he was cleaning he noticed a book left on the table it seemed to belong to Bowser. Curiosity got the best of him and Luigi took a quick peek through the book. It was a journal of some sort. Luigi saw that there were a few notes in it that were filled with medical lingo. There were a few pages about peach in it as well. He seemed to love her so much that it was kinda sad to read it. Next, he read a page where it was about Mario. And as Luigi summed it up it wasn't PG. There seemed to be a page about everyone in his notebook and how he felt about each person. He then made it to a page about him. Luigi was kinda surprised that Bowser even wrote about him. Before he could even read the first sentence and large hand slammed on the book in front of him.
