Chapter 42.5 Deadly Heist

"Think about it Wario, if one of us becomes a head doctor than we could be undoubtedly RICH", Waluigi said. Wario and Waluigi were sitting in their mansion counting the amount of cash they conned out of many residents in the mushroom kingdom. Waluigi was happy but sighed as he noticed that they were still short a couple of thousand dollars. "Oh bother were still short on cash "You've been getting your hands on a lot of Poison Mushrooms, aren't those illegal", Waluigi asked Wario as he was sorting through them. Wario snickered under his breath. "They are, What I'll do with this is make medicine that seems like it works, but a week later 'boom' the body will begin to shut down until they take more". "Ahhhh smart, they'll keep buying our overpriced medicine with no choice. And all the other Doctors will think that we're just trying to help them hehe". The plan was foolproof, they just needed to make sure that there was a slot open for one of them to make it.

Today was the day when they would accept two new doctors to help lead the hospital. Toadsworth was administrating the test while Bowser and Peach observed. Mario was happy to take the test alongside his brother as they were on their way to take their test. "Just imagine this Luigi, both of us head doctors, doesn't that sound so thrilling". Luigi smiled as he's been studying all night preparing for it. "I can't wait, I know we're gonna pass we've been studying all night", Mario smiled. "No I've been studying, you were sleeping on the couch", Luigi laughed. "Well I was learning in my sleep you can do that y' know", Mario laughed. Under all the jokes a shallow humor Mario was a bit nervous about the test since it's something he's never done before. On their walk the noticed Wario and Waluigi as well. "Oh, great there here", Mario said with heavy sarcasm". Luigi was happy to see them, he felt that under Wario and Waluigi's malicious behavior were nice and caring people. "Wario, Waluigi hiiii". Wario and Waluigi stopped to look back, just like Mario they weren't as thrilled to see each other. "Are you guys going to be doctors too", Luigi asked. Wario chuckled puffing up his chest," We prefer the term head doctor since that's what we're going to be". "As if", Mario said under his breath. Luigi gave a light tap to Mario's shoulder," Be nice". Mario rolled his eyes and turned to not look at them. "Well good luck to the both of you". Mario and Luigi went on their way leaving the Wicked Bros. behind. They both glanced at each other and smirked. "Oh Waluigi, buddy Ol' pal, did we just hatch a diabolical scheme". "Yes yes, I believe we did".

Mario was in the bathroom trying to calm his nerves as he knew he was going to fail the test. He'd always been bad at taking the test and he didn't know how he could pass. "What am I going to do, I can't fail". "O,h Mario". Mario turned to see that out one of the stalls was Waluigi. "W-What do you want"? Waluigi slithered his way next to Mario to test out his manipulative skills. "I just wanted to see what was wrong you seemed troubled", He asked. "Why would I tell you, you're untrustworthy", Mario grumbled. "I mean if I heard right you're afraid of failing the test, and if I were, to be honest, if say I'm nervous too. "Ehh, how", Mario said falling for the trap that he laid out. "Yes Wario does indeed have more knowledge when it comes to medicine, he'll most likely be famous if he tries hard enough. I wonder what would happen if Luigi made it". "Well I'd be happy for Luigi he's my brother after all".  "But for how long, Mario". "I-I don't get what you're saying". "I mean if you ask me, Luigi seemed to be very determined to pass, think about it, number two beats number one. How would that look, what if it continues". "I mean-" "Mario you and I both know that if Luigi one up you people might think your unreliable. You'll end up in the shadows, you already know how selective the Mushroom Kingdom is when there's a new hero". Mario stood there very nervous, Waluigi knew it was time to stroke his ego a bit more. "Mario you're number 1, you can let anyone top you. What would Peach think? She wants to be side by side with her hero. Not looking down at her hero, well mentally not physically". Waluigi saw Mario clenching his fist," I can't do that to Luigi". "Yes you can, Luigi has always been jealous of you, so I don't see why Luigi wouldn't take this opportunity to Take you down and he becomes the hero of the  Mushroom Kingdom". Mario was in distress and Waluigi was pleased," I'll see what you come up with, you're the alpha male here, mark your territory".

"So is the trap set", Wario asked Waluigi. He smiled as he saw Mario talking to Luigi. He could tell that Mario was suggesting something that seemed questionable by the look on Luigi's face. "Oh we'll be seeing results soon, trust me", Waluigi said. Waluigi slithered his way near the brothers to get a good listen. "Mario cheating is wrong". "Luigi don't worry, just let me peak if I get caught I'll take full responsibility. I want us to be doctors so I'll make sure it happens". Luigi was still unsure but he trusted his brother so he knew he wouldn't turn his back on him.

"Don't you remember back then Wario. We're supposed to be rich together, you can't throw that away", Waluigi said. Wario looked away," I know what we started, but I can't live with myself anymore if I used something I worked so hard to make hurt anyone". "Wasn't that the point, you're not the Wario I know, what happened to him. Wario is supposed to be Evil, Money hungry, etc.". "Well that Wario is gone, I met a woman that showed me that I don't have to be Evil. That my happiness doesn't have to be at the price of someone else". Waluigi started laughing," I-I get it....you find a woman and kick me to the side. We're a team were supposed to do everything together, everything I've done, now for nothing". "I guess you'll just have to think of a new plan", Wario said. Wario began to walk away until He was stopped. "I wonder how Daisy is doing", he chuckled. Wario looked back at his devilish friend," What do you mean"? "Well my heart is broken because I had a feeling you were going to betray me, so I called Daisy in". "Waluigi, what did you do"? "Hehe I don't know, I wonder what could possibly have happened to her. Now you either work with me or I'll just have to deal with her". Wario was furious his whole body was shaking. "And good luck trying to get someone to save her, you're a class act Liar, no one will believe you". Wario pounced on Waluigi as the began to tussle. "I'm going to beat the shit out of you", Wario grumbled. They both started to throw punches and kick. "Fighting me is not gonna undo what I did", Waluigi said kicking him off.

Wario got up with rage in his eyes," You motherfucker"! Wario rammed into Waluigi sending him stumbling back. Waluigi slammed hard against the glass window causing it to start cracking. He was so dazed he didn't notice the crack getting larger by the second. "WALUIGI", Wario yelled. The glass gave way while Waluigi was leaning against it.

Time seemed to slow down as Wario watched his friend fall. Wario ran as fast as he could and managed to grab onto Waluigi's hand. "I-I got you". Wario tried to pull him up but he was too weak from the fighting. He felt his palms get sweaty and Waluigi's hand began to slip. Wario looked at him dead in the eyes and could see the fear and regret in his eyes. Wario tried to hold on tighter but he began to slip. "I won't let go". Waluigi didn't want Wario to fall with him, so he wiggled his hand from his grip. "WALUIGI"! He watched as he fell five stories down before colliding with the ground below and blood surrounded his body. Wario froze and stood up. He didn't know what to do.
