it's yet another night where Tazannah eats her homemade dinner she can proudly say is made by herself. the sea acts as a distraction for the girl as she sits at she same spot on the rocks, getting lost in a sea of thoughts as vast as the one before her.
what she doesn't realise is the same boy from the night before- staring up at the night sky on a laid checkered red-and-white picnic mat, enjoying his own dinner that's in a plastic container bought from the hawker centre nearby.
well, at least not until the boy starts humming a melody that's unknown to her.
it's sweet and soothing, blending in with the chill and silent surroundings the two thrive in. Tazannah finds herself swaying to his deep voice, her dinner totally forgotten.
and when her eyelids get heavier and heavier, she can't find it in her to resist the sleep that'd overcome her and finds herself falling into a comforting sleep.
the mysterious boy realises after a while that the pretty stranger's asleep and he feels genuinely worried for her safety- especially at night when the beach is empty but there's still civilians strolling around the vicinity.
so he chooses to pick her up, carrying her bridal style as he tries not to wake her up. yet, he can't help but let his gaze linger on the girl- her ebony strands that are blown by the summer breeze, fluttering eyelashes and a rare beauty that he wants to admire for longer.
and when he lays her in the apartment shared by two, he ignores the confused stare of his roommate who he's come to call his brother and, slowly but surely, falls into a deep sleep too.
