From her move from the rough streets of Chicago after the murder of her brother to the ghetto busy streets of Atlanta, Adryian learns what its really like to deal with the devil himself.
" I can't wait to meet my baby " Adryian said from the door way watching Tania, Devin, Kasuan, Jayceon and her aunt decorate the nursery in Kasuan's house just the way she wanted it.
" He's gonna' be a spoiled brat " Keyarri replied standing next to her
Right now everyone was at Kasuan's house helping out . Adryian had been moving in all week and they were getting the nursery ready. The nursery was beautiful. The room was all white with a touch of gold and grey. She couldn't wait to actually use it. She only had three more months in her pregnancy left and she was too anxious.
" Baby we got this, you should be sitting down remember the doctor said you shouldn't be standing for long periods of time " Kasuan said walking up to Adryian
Her doctor had put her on bed rest because she was at risk of going into labor early but she just couldn't seem to sit down. " I'm fine " she replied not wanting to miss them decorating the nursery
" Actually, we need to go to Michelle's and pick up your dress for the baby shower tomorrow " Keyarri said, Michelle was a friend from school who did custom dresses and had given Adryian the hook up on a beautiful dress
" I really don't think she should be walking around like this " Her aunt said adding her two cents
" I said I'm fine " Adryian replied, she hated how everybody treated her like a baby " we'll be back soon"
Her and keyarri left and headed towards Michelle's house to pick the dress up.
The next day..
" Awwwwe I cant wait to put him in this" Adryian smiled holding up a moschino kids 'this is not a moschino toy bear' baby onesie.
Right now her and Kasuan were opening gifts at their babyshower. Everything was going perfect at their all white winter wonder land themed baby shower. Music played on the speakers, the dj had everyone in a good mood and the event place was packed with family and friends. They had enough food for everybody and two friends and gifts filled three tables and some of the floor around them. Kasuan had even flew out all of Adryian's family to Atlanta so they wouldn't miss it . Today would be his first time meeting her mom in person.
" Congratulations baby " Adryian's granny smiled giving her a hug. She had made the baby an elephant quilt and it meant a lot to adryian because her grandma hadn't made a quilt since her brother died
" I already know Devin bought this " Kasuan smiled as he removed the wrapping from a black Cybex Priam Lux Trekking Stroller - Wings by Jeremy Scott.
" It wasn't nothing man " Devin smiled watching Kasuan and adryian. He had brought his baby mother princess and their two month old daughter naomi to the baby shower with him since princess and Adryian knew each other .
Adryian looked beautiful, her natural hair was dyed a bright burgundy and cut into a blunt cut middle part bob. She wore a very expensive all white luxury appliqué lace mermaid long sleeve v neck maternity dress and natural looking make up. Her feet were swollen and killing her and her back had been hurting all day but she kept a positive attitude

They kept opening gifts until they grew tired of it and thanked everybody. Kasuan and adryian walked over to a table full of food
" You okay ?" Kasuan asked her noticing she was rubbing her back and looked uncomfortable
" I'm fine I'm just hungry " she replied beginning to fix her plate
" You look beautiful baby " Adryian's mother smiled giving her a hug
" Mommyyy.. Heyy " Adryian said with a mouthful of food
" Sorry we late, Traffic was a bitch " India said before giving her sister a hug. She looked beautiful, she was wearing an all white long sleeve dress and rocking jet black jerry curl hair that stopped at her bra strap. Jessika wore an over sized white sweater that hung off one shoulder and a pair of navy blue dress pants, her hair was in sleek low pony tail.
" Mommy, this is Kasuan " Adryian said introducing him, Kasuan had only talked to her mom over the phone because she stayed in Chicago and now they were meeting face to face
" Nice to meet you " Kasuan said extending a hand out. Her mom and her sister's all so much looked alike, it was scary.
" I give hugs " Her mom laughed pulling him in for a tight hug. " Nice to meet you baby "
Kasuan looked up and noticed his mother and sister, Teyanna had walked in. His eyes widened, he had invited his mom but he didn't think she would actually come. " Hold up right quick " he said to Adryian before rushing over to his mom and sister " hey ma" he smiled
" Hey baby " his mom smiled before giving him a big hug.
Kasuan didn't really communicate with his family other than his grandma and he had just started talking to his mom and sister again. They weren't like him at all, they still stayed in the hood and his sister took care of their mom. Whenever he would send money, they would send it right back. His mom was a recovering drug addict with alot of demons she was battling while his sister was just a struggling college student trying to take care of her son and mom. He was open to get closer to every one in his family but his dad. Nobody knew about his family problems but Devin and Adryian.
" Heyyy " Adryian smiled walking up to them with a plate. "
" Helloooo, it's so nice to finally meet you " his mom smiled giving Adryian a small hug. Kasuan's mom was a small short woman, she was slim with a beautiful figure and had long thick curly grey and black hair with these beautiful light brown eyes.
" It's good to meet you too, come with me.. I want you to try this food my family made " Adryian said taking his mom away from them so they could talk
" How's she been doing " Kasuan asked his little sister
" She's been clean for two months, so I guess that's good. Her ptsd hasn't been a problem or anything, she's just happy your talking to her " Teyanna replied
" And you ? "
" Just doing what I need to do, Handling my business " she replied looking at him
" If you ever need anything you know I'm here for you " he said
" We know " Teyanna replied coldly. She had so much she wanted to say but right now just wasn't the time nor the place. She passed him the small gift bag " it's nothing too flashy. I know that's how y'all do things now, I just wanted to give my nephew a little something "
" Thank you " he replied taking the bag from her. They walked around and enjoyed the babyshower with everyone else.
Thirty minutes later the event center was being shot up by Two black Escalade trucks. The glass windows shattered, multiple people screamed and panicked. Every one ducked to the floor and some people hid. Devin hid behind a tower in the building and began firing back before the trucks sped off.
" You okay ? " Kasuan asked helping Adryian off the ground
" I'm fine " She replied a little shaken up. She looked around and made sure everyone was okay. Thank god nobody was hurt. Her eyes began to water, her baby shower was ruined
" Aye man, who the fuck was that " Devin said rushing over to Kasuan and Adryian.
" You okay pooh bear ? " India asked, Adryian began to cry and she pulled her in for a hug, Jessika rubbed Adryain's back as she cried like a baby.
" Take her home for me, I'll handle everything else " Kasuan said to India, India nodded he head and mouthed ' ok ' before taking Adryian away.
The only thing he wanted to do was make sure everybody was straight and then find out who shot up his baby shower.
