Ross' P.O.V.

Having her in my arms... was probably the best feeling ever... I don't know... but it's... just... I feel my heart thumping more quickly when she suddenly stiffens and the suddenly relaxes when she looks at me. The time when we share the small moment, was what was really engraved into my mind. Plus, she's doing it with me forcing her! I'm probably grinning right now as I look at the credits rolling in.

By the time the movie had ended, Rachel was fiddling with her hands, playing with the leftover popcorn she had, placing the bowl om the table with shaky hands.

"Rachel. The movie's over." Ryland smirked, "who knew you were afraid of horror genres but not afraid to be in a haunted house?"

"Sorry then!" Rachel snapped, her voice thick with anger, it seemed that her accent changed too. The popcorn she had earlier had suddenly flown in Ryland's direction, him catching it with his mouth.

"Sorry. Didn't mean to strike a nerve. Night guys." He said as he quickly disappeared from the room, leaving me with Rachel, in the same position, my arms around her waist... her body tucked near mine.

She crossed her arms in front of her chest and slouched into the coach, her eyes squeezed shut and her fist balled into fists. The tension in the room changed quickly from a playful one to what seemed to be gloomy.

Everyone had returned to their rooms already, except us. Rachel said something about staying behind so that she could make herself more assured that she won't hear Amethyst babbling about her nightmares.

"You alright, Rachel?"

"Do I look alright?" She asked with a tone filled with sarcasm.

"Well of course you don't. Otherwise, I wouldn't be asking?" I said, raising a brow. She just smirked at me. I have a feeling that Rachel was probably haunted by the movie.

"How about you sleep now? It's getting late already." I asked, providing her an assuring smile.

She looked up at me from her position, her eyes wide open.

"And let the Woman in Black scenes awaken to make my nightmares real. Cause that's really efficient for me, dude. Sure." Her tone really panicky.

I smirked at her, scared Rachel was really cute. If I didn't know her better, I would have depicted her as being rude. Then again... it's Rachel. She's feisty, she's the girl that uses sarcasm everyday, she's someone that people would depict as rude but she's just unsure of how to phrase her words.

"Don't worry. I'll be here. You don't have to be scared."  I winked at her.

She changed her sitting position, shifting herself to snuggle against me. I couldn't describe how happy I was when she listened to me... or with her head against my chest, listening to my heart, probably audible to her.

"Goodnight Ross..." she said, giving me a smile, her eyes drooping, slowly closing. As soon as her eyes closed, she started snoring.

She looked like an angel when she slept. Her breathing... her hair resting on one side, her body carelessly sprawled all over the couch with me, yet it seemed as though she was more casual and really... perfect... she just takes my breath away...

"Goodnight... my angel..." I murmured, kissing her forehead lightly before sleeping beside her, on the couch.
