Ross' P.O.V.
After dinner, Mom and Dad decided to retire to their bedrooms, while the rest of us remained at the beach, where we had had out dinner.
The sun was setting, the last of the sunlight reflecting on the ocean, creating a beautiful hue of orange on the seawater. It was a rather romantic view, I had pondered while I looked out afar, from where I had sat.
Rachel... that girl... she's got me falling head over heels for her. And for once in my lifetime... I was nervous. I, Ross Shor Lynch, nervous. Over a girl. Completely unbelievable. I've never been nervous over a girl! Usually, it's girls that get nervous talking to me. However, when I'm around Rachel, it seems like a completely different story... When I try to flirt with her she unconsciously just rejects me and teases me. It makes me crazy for her. I'll never find a girl like her every again.
Then again... looking at it realisticly... I've only known her for two months! It seemed impossible to already want her when I've only known her for so long. I mean... El and Raven are together... so were Riker and Haley... but... it seems too fast. It's just too unrealistic to rush into a relationship with her.
But I know I want her. Badly. I've made up my mind a long time ago and I've come too far to give up now. I had decided to confess to her two days later, with a bouquet of roses and no one disturbing us this time.
"What do you guys wanna do?" Garrett asks, bringing me back to reality, breaking me from my train of thoughts.
Haley and Riker were taking what they called "private time together" and Raven and El were building a sandcastle nearby. Nobody knew where Amethyst and Rocky went, but Rocky had his phone with him so we weren't particularly worried. At least I wasn't worried about him. I'm sure he wouldn't do anything weird... right? Rachel was standing at the shore, just staring off into the horizon. Everyone else was sitting around a wooden table, underneath a beach umbrella.
"Oh! Oh! How about Truth or Dare?" Maia says, plopping down beside her boyfriend, Johnny. It was no secret that they were dating, but it was a secret that only the cast kept within ourselves.
"Why not?" Grace says as takes a swig from the bottle of beer she had. I was finally old enough to drink any alcoholic drinks. No longer need to be jealous when the others do that!
"Anyone has an empty bottle?" Ryland asks, "unless someone downs their bottle of beer."
"We should let our recently turned to empty his." Rydel says, handing me a bottle of beer, "drink up, Ross."
I stare at the bottle in my hand, pulling the bottle cap off. Without hesitation, I gulped the entire beer of bottle down, the sweet taste of booze running down my throat, leaving a sizzling flame behind. This wasn't the first time I had been downing an entire bottle of booze, so I was perfectly fine.
I slammed the bottle down, empty bottle onto the table, everyone with us clapping loudly, erupting into whoops of cheering.
"Let's start!" I say excitedly as I spun the bottle first.
Rachel's P.O.V.
The waves lapped at my feet, as I watched the sun set. Sea gulls were croaking, as they flew far east and the tenperature quickly dropping as night quickly came around, the moon high in the sky.
I stared at the ocean, looking how it illuminated the light of the moon. I had walked quite a distance away from everyone, in hopes of finding some ocean and quiet. Of course, I could still see the hotel, the lights still switched on.
I stared at the last batch of seagulls flying away from the area. I wished I was as free as they were... I didn't want so many problems. I had rather be free from the many burdens I had been harbouring and the thoughts that made me suffer so much.
Speaking of throughts... I had yet to think properly of my decision... of which should I go back to Singapore... or not... Usually, I don't ponder long about anything... but this would definitely affect everyone that I'm with now. I've made sure I've distanced myself from everyone as much as possible, hoping that they won't get affected badly when I leave. That had been my plan, so that they won't realise that I've left again...
This had been what I had been doing all the while whenever I had to leave, but there was one problem with this solution now... Ross.
As Garrett had said, he had been trying to gain my attention recently, thinking about it... he even dragged me into the recording studio, and secluded me from everyone at the water park. Simply, the more that I think about it, the more I think about what Garrett tells me... the more I find it reasonable. Then again, I have my own boat, so nobody should be shipping me and Ross anytime soon... right?
It's only been two months, and I've been caught into this ridiculous dramatic love web. Two months! It's far too fast for me for someone to fall in love and want a relationship...
"Hey." I hear someone say, erupting me from my train of thoughts. I tilt my head towards that direction, seeing that Ross had walked over to me, over the distance where he was just now. It was then I realised how much time I spent walking away from the entire group. Raven and Ratliff had built finished their sandcastle, and had joined the group where Ross was at previously. They were chatting rather noisily, seemingly excited about something.
"Sup?" I ask, as Ross suddenly envelops me in a back hug, "Ross?"
"Hmmm?" He asks in a droopy voice, making me confused. This doesn't seem like how Ross would normally act... I look over at the table, seeing that some of them were holding bottles of beer.
"What's wrong?" I asked, curious, "are you drunk?"
"No!" He says, whirling me around so suddenly that I nearly lost my balance, "I... I... need to ask you something..."
He seemed a little red, his breath reeked of alcohol, causing me to scrunch my nose. Alcohol wasn't the best smell to awaken me from my train of thoughts...
"Shoot." I say simply, giving a soft smile as his eyes sparkles like a child. Definitely drunk.
"So... the group wants to ask whether you want to join us in a game of Truth or Dare." He says, slurring some of his words, "and they asked me to ask you regarding that."
"Sure!" I say, smiling, about to walk towards them.
"Wait!" He suddenly exclaims, grabbing and pulling my hand, midway turning me to face him, making me fall into him.
The both of us stare into the other's eyes, our breathing the only thing keeping the silence.
"Ross... their waiting for us. Come on..." I said, looking towards the group, trying to wiggle out of his arms. Suddenly his hands cup both my cheeks, forcing me to face him.
"I... I... have a confession to make to you..." he says, nervously, his eyes looking away from me and him biting his lip.
"What's wrong?" I ask, frowning, this doesn't seem much like Ross...
He quickly smashes his lips on mine, me yelping in shock. As I try to get out of the death grab, I end up tripping over my own feet, both of us falling to the ground.
"What the-" I manage to scream out as he continues to kiss me passionately, his hands entangling in my hair.
I was angry, attempting to push him. How dare he? This was a violation of my own rights! He didn't even...
It seemed that he had suddenly became Hercules, his strength overwhelming mine. He releases me from his kiss, both of us panting from the passionate, heated kiss.
"Rachel... I... I... like you... not in the friend-friend way... I want you to be my girlfriend..."
