Your Protector

This is about a friend of mine

who was abused. I hope you like.

Take my hand

and don't let

go.

Where life will take us

we can never

know for

certain.

But here with

me, you'll be

safe-

protected from

the evils

of the world.

In my arms

you cry; a

momentary loss of

safety, and this

is how it goes.

From now on,

forever and always,

you'll stay with

me. I

won't let them

hurt you anymore.

I know I am

fragile alone,

but being with

you has made me

strong. Strong enough

to hold us both

up when

the sky is

falling on us.

Hopefully it'll

never

fall on you again.

But if,

in the case that it may,

I'll be waiting to

fix you again,

and punish

myself for never being

good enough to be

your protector.
