Nathan

I always loved going to sleep because I liked dreaming. I love when it feels so real.

But sometimes too real.

I felt my body sweat as I squeeze my eyes together. I had to remind myself that it was just a dream, and a dream only.

Warm, strong arms were wrapped around my body, my chest pressed against Bryce's bare stomach.

I let out a deep breath as I pry his strong arms off of me, trying my best not to wake him.

I slid out of his arms, crawling to the edge of his bed. My feet touched the floor as I just sit there, thinking over the dream that felt so real. I didn't want it to be real, never in a million years.

Her long, bleached blonde hair and orange skin... His large smile and the twinkle in his eyes when he looked at her. The same way he always looked at me when I do nothing but maybe blink.

It was a dream, Nathan, I told myself again, shaking my head. Only a stupid dream.

"Nath?" Bryce mumbled, his voice deep and raspy. "You okay, baby?"

I didn't reply, just around the darkroom. I felt arms wrap around my waist and my body carefully being pulled between two legs. I felt Bryce's breath on my neck before he started to pepper gentle kisses on it.

"Why are you awake, cutie?" Bryce questioned, pressing his lips against a sweet spot on my neck, sloppily sucking and nibbling on my skin. I let out a short gasp, feeling my anger and sadness from the dream vanish for a moment as I tilted my head to give his better access.

"Bad dream?" He questioned as he worked on my neck, torturing me with sloppy kisses and bites.

I didn't speak as Bryce marked multiple spots on my neck, leaving breathless after every bite or suck. If he wasn't holding me, my knees would've gone weak.

"Why are you up?" Bryce repeated as he rocked me gently in his arm as I let out short breaths.

"A dream." I started, resting my hand on his cheek. "It had you in it." Bryce hummed for me to continue. "You... You were kissing this girl."

I felt Bryce's muscles tense around me and his jaw clench. He pulled me closer to him, "oh." I purse my lips, not know what to say in response. "Are... are you okay, now?"

"It seemed so real..."

Bryce kissed my temple, "it was just a dream, babe, only a dream. I promise you that I will never, ever hurt you, Nath." I just nod, squeezing on his arms that were wrapped around my waist. "Okay, baby?"

"Okay," I whispered in reply, "I love you."

"I love you too, Nathan. I love you so damn much that it's crazy." I smile, even though he couldn't see it in the darkroom. But I bet he felt my cheeks hear up. "I'm going to miss you so much, baby."

I frown, remembering he was leaving for college in the morning. We spent the entire day together, kissing, making love, laughing, making love, eating, did I mention that we made love a lot?

"I will too." I frown, feeling his lips kiss my head. "When will I see you again?"

"In a month or so." He assured, kissing me again. "I'll come to your graduation for sure. I'll see you over Spring Break and Christmas. I'll come a few times a month. It's only a few hours away."

I frown at that though. I don't want him to be hours away. I want him to be by my side. Always. But, I wouldn't want him not to go to college, he's far too smart to not go. He got into a University and I'm far more than proud oh him.

"Will you still talk to me?"

Bryce nodded from behind me, "yes, of course. I will call you every single day. I will text you as often as I can. I will come here as much as possible."

I let out a small sigh, "it won't be the same."

"Baby, you're going to be busy with school. With basketball and studying. You'll be graduating this year and you can't slack off as we talked about."

"It still won't be the same."

My arms wrapped around Bryce for probably the fifth in the past half hour, but this time, it would be the last time for an hour. Everything in his room that was once neatly put away were in boxes and in the back seat of his car. All that was left in there was his bed and other furniture. It was heartbreaking seeing the empty room.

"I love you," I whispered, stuffing my face into his shoulder. "Do you have to go?"

Bryce squeezed me tightly, running his hands up and down my back. "Yes, baby. But it's not the end. I'll see your face again."

(SWEET CREEEAAATTTTUUURRREEE)

"I know."

Bryce held me even tighter, "behave, okay? If you go to a party, tell me so I can make sure someone watches you so you don't get pregnant with Mickey Mouse's babies again." I let out a soft chuckle as I nodded. "Okay, baby, I need to get going."

The second the words came out his mouth, my throat closed as tears blurred my vision.

It felt like just yesterday we were in detention together, being dirty-minded boys. It felt like Bryce had just kissed me at the diner. It felt like we were both nervous to tell each other we love each other.

It went by so fast, and now I have to wait an entire month to see him. I trust Bryce, but I hope he doesn't fall for a college girl or guy while he's gone.

I let out a small sniffle from my tears, and instantly Bryce pulled away to hold my face in his hands. His glossy eyes met my watery ones, and I felt my chest ache. I felt physically sick.

"I love you."

His words made the tears in my eyes begin to stream down my face, my head hang low to hide my face. "I love you more."

I cried as I heard Bryce's vehicle zoom down his street, the noise soon fading away.
