When it comes to the means of communication, there are two ways to do it between the sleighs. First they have walkie-talkies to talk and to inform in more detail. Second, manual bells with a handle are used just to sound an alarm and stop the others; alternatively, the others can be stopped by pressing the STOP button on the walkie-talkie and the STOP sign becomes visible on the other walkie-talkies. In both cases, the crew in the last sleigh is to call the first sleigh every time they hear the alarm to make sure even the first sleigh stops moving. Moreover, the last but one sleigh is to check every once in a while that the last set of sleighs is still with them. Besides they agreed on checking every 15 minutes if the next sleigh or the next set of sleighs are still behind them.
Mrs Zhao comes back carrying her cable and sits back on her sleigh. Santa gives a signal with his bell and all the other sleighs answer with their bells. The driver of the last sleigh talks to Santa over the walkie-talkie and says, 'Everything okay and everybody ready to go. Let's set off!'
