"Alec, kiddo, I can't drive you today," Mason announced as he pushed a bowl with cereal over to me. I looked at him with pleading eyes, and couldn't help but ask why not. "We got some... stuff." He send Joe a worried look but Joe just shrugged it off.

"What stuff?" I asked, slightly annoyed that i didn't know why my ride was cancelled.

"'Prophets' dealt with some shit a place they shouldn't be," Mason said coldly, and i couldn't help but notice the gun in his belt. 'Prophets' is the rivaling gang to the one my brothers are involved with, 'Garcia Infierno'. Prophets killed Mason and Joe's dad. It's safe to say they don't really like them.

"But then how will I get to school?" I asked, trying to shrug the thought of the Prophets off.

"Aiden can drive," Joe said.

"No, Aiden can not drive," Sergio said, as he strolled into the kitchen. "But maybe i could do the job..." Sergio said, with a smirk playing on his lips.

"No, Serg! Last time you broke the damn car!" Mason objected.

"How could I know that that curb was going to be there?!"

"You could have looked," Aiden snapped. When did he even get here?

"You son of a-" Sergio couldn't even finish his sentence before he was tackling Aiden to the floor. Mason desperately tried to separate the two idiots. I just sat there, eating my breakfast, and looking as if it was a real boxing match.

"10 bucks says that Aiden wins," Joe mumbled amusingly. "Nope, wait: 20 says Mason will."

"No way in hell Serg stands a chance," i said, slightly chuckling.

10 minutes later and a reprimand from Mason we finally left the house. To no ones surprise we we're late. Very late. As we rolled up on the schools parking lot 20 minutes after the bell rung, I swung my backpack over my shoulder and sprinted to my english class. As I finally arrived - panting so loud I was sure everyone could hear - I bursted through the door to be meet by a very angry and surprised teacher.

After getting a reprimand and a detention I angrily paced to the back of the class, and as I was sitting there, angrily stomping my foot on the floor, i noticed a familiar face. I couldn't put my finger on it but i was sure that i had seen her before. Her beautiful dark, curly hair swung over her shoulders effortlessly. Her delicate hands that held the pensil, as it ran across the paper. Her slim fingers as she rose her hand to answer a question. She was beautiful. Well, at least from behind. No pun intended. I wanted to see her face though. I wanted to talk to her. Hold her hands. Get to know her. Befriend her. Oh fuck that! More than befriend her.

And then the bell rung.

Never have I wanted the bell not to ring so strongly. As we exited the class I quickly noticed to my big disapproval that she was gone.

I felt my phone buzz in my pocket, and saw a text from Boomer. I honestly have no idea why we call him that. His real name is Casper, nowhere near Boomer.

In the cafeteria with N. Coming?

I didn't even care replying, I just headed towards the cafeteria to find Nick and Boomer. I quickly found them. I can't take all the credit for that though. They helped me a bit (note the sarcasm). On one of the big tables in the cafeteria Nick and Boomer were standing, yelling slurs, to the empty cafeteria. Some poor girl was sitting in the corner, quietly trying to study, but constantly looking up at the two morons causing a scene.

"Guys!" I yelled, trying to stop this embarrassing scene as soon as possible. "I'm here, let's go."

"Eyyyy, Alec, my man," Nick said, jumping down the table, and laying an arm around my shoulder. "You remember my friend Caleb, right? Yeah, of course you do," he said, not even giving me time to answer. "He got this new load of goods coming in today. You, up?"

"Like now?"

"Like now."

"I can't. I have detention."

"I have detention," he said mockingly. "Get over yourself, man! We can make big bucks on this shit."

"I don't know, guys," I said hesitantly. "My sister found out, so... yeah..."

"Melanie?!" Boomer asked, suddenly joining the conversation.

"No my other sister," I said sarcastically. He didn't seem to get the hint and just stared at me disbelieving. "Yes Melanie, you moron."

"Why do you care what she knows?" Nick asked. "She doesn't even live with you guys."

"No, but she needs money," I said, trying to explain. They just starred at me, still not understanding what i meant. "Mason and Joe won't give them to her, so she blackmails me for money."

"Oh," Boomer said finally understanding. Nick just starred at me with a taunting look on his face.

"You're scared  of your sister," he stated, a smirk playing on his lips.

"I'm not scared of Melanie," I said annoyed, and took an apple from a basket on the counter. The canteen lady wasn't there anyways. "I'm scared of my brothers," I mumbled quietly.

"Well they can't exactly be mad at you for selling drugs, when that's how they make their living," Boomer said.

"Well, try telling them," I mumbled angrily.

"Oh suck it up," Nick said, and sounded way to much like my brothers. "Now let's go. I mean Melanie can't really know the same thing twice, now can't she?"
