dear five year old me,

tell me. how did you do it?

racing across the schoolyard without a care in the world.

you always seem to know where you were going.

these days I can barely walk the school halls without getting lost.

or raising your hand to present our show & tell in Kindergarten

these days it takes a whole lot of deep breaths and repetition of 'present', in my head, in preparation for attendance

Starting new conversations or making friends was as easy as tying your shoe. Remember, its bunny ear, bunny ear, loop and pull!

Present me still hasn't mastered the art of holding a conversation

how did you do it, five year old me?

without a care in the world, you've already seemed to have figured out life

i miss those days, where I didn't have to wonder how to be me.

I was just me

So, five year old me,

I need you to tell me,

show me,

teach me.

How to be me again.
