Emily's POV

Zac was leading me to an unknown location hopefully taking me to Katie. Or maybe not? Part of me was hoping that he was bluffing and Katie wasn't really here.

Whose blood was on Cole's hands? I felt a dizziness cover me while walking. We passed all of the rooms on the lower level coming back around to the kitchen and dining room.

As we walked passed everyone who was still eating I couldn't help but notice Cole was gone. Where did he go? I couldn't stop to wonder, I needed to fill my mind with reasons to leave this place. Cole was a lost cause, no more trying to make him a good guy. I need to leave with Katie on my terms.

"This way." Zac looked me into the eyes while opening the front door. We went outside to the porch. I took in a deep breath as the cold air hit me. My lungs filled with the fresh outdoors. My body shivered from the temperature. Snow fell from the sky and hit my arms delicately enough to stay a second before melting.

I followed Zac as he walked the path of the small frozen lake beside the cabin. Part of me wondered if I jumped on the ice, would I fall through? Would I want that?

My mind turned it's attention back to Zac. We made it all the way to the back of the cabin just to stand still starring at a shed.

"Is this it? Is she in there?" I asked taking in the deep red color of this structure. It had no windows, snow covered the roof and stuck to the sides.

Zac reached his hand out and grabbed the handle to open the door. As he pulled it open I took a deep breath in. I was waiting to see Katie tied up or be ready to catch her if she came running out.

The door opened and I walked inside. Zac followed leaving the door open behind us.

"Where is she?" Anger took over my voice. Katie was not in here, only a wooden box stood in this otherwise empty wooden shed.

"You said you were taking me to see her!" I went closer to Zac. He did not move, his body language didn't change. He continued to be as still and cold as ever.

"Actually I didn't say anything but for you to follow me. If you thought I was taking you to see your sister, you were mistaken."

I let a breath out. Save your energy I thought. I'll need to it find Katie and escape this place.

"Then why did you bring me here?" I closed my eyes.

"Look in the box." Zac walked over to the human sized square box that sat in the corner.

"Why?" I swallowed not moving an inch.

"Are you disobeying me?" His voice almost cracked - not from being scared though...it sounded like he was trying to contain his excitement. Excitement from what? Telling me what to do? Controlling me?

I knew that I should listen, it was the right move to make. I took 3 steps closer to the box. I was far away enough to keep my distance from Zac but close enough to open it.

I lifted the two corners of the box closest to me and couldn't believe my eyes.

"No....." I choked out.

I flipped the top off the rest of the way. Falling to my butt I crawled back to the outside feeling the snow in between my finger tips melting from the warmth of my hands.

Tears began to make their way out but I kept calm so I could look Zac in the eyes with what I was going to say next.

I took a quick breath in focusing on the image of what I just saw. Sara. I knew she was dead. I just didn't know what that looked like. Her eyes weren't even shut. They put her in a box!

Zac hopped out of the shed shutting the door behind him.

I stood up brushing the snow off from me. I put my hand in the air ready to slap him when he turned back around and give him a piece of my mind.

"I would think very carefully about what you're going to say or do next." He voice trailed off as his head slowly peered back to face me.

I put my hand down. Another tear fell from my eye.

"If you think you can say and do whatever you want - you can't. Sara tried that and look where it got her." He smirked.

"If you want to say alive - or more importantly if you want Katie to say alive...you'll start listening. For everything that you do wrong she'll get punished for it and I'll make you watch."

I was dumbfounded. He did it. Zac found a way to make me listen. That son of a Bitch.
