Chapter 28

We stopped in our tracks and I looked at Carson who looked pretty nervous. Then again, we were all drunk so how was I supposed to know how he really felt. I was just making bold statements. The way he was running after her made it seem like he was trying to get her to stay away from us. If that were the case, that means this was going to go down pretty badly. I really wish she would just go away already.

Cole and Violet walked over along with Kora, Maisie's best friend so there was just a crowd around us. Well, it was just us witnessing this mayhem about to take over. Everyone looked confused especially Wyatt. I know Maisie knows everything that happened between us over this break. By the look on her face, it looked like she was getting ready to spill everything to Wyatt. That was something I didn't need. Even if it took me getting down on my knees to beg her not to tell him, I was going to do it.

She pushed Carson aside and crossed her arms. "Oh, how I've waited for this moment!" She screeched with excitement in her voice.

I moved Wyatt behind me and looked her directly in the eyes. "Maisie, I can't believe I'm doing this, but I'm begging you to please walk away." I said calmly. My heart was racing really fast and I felt myself starting to panic.

With a roll of her eyes, she looked at Kora and Kora nodded her head. "In your dreams, Savannah." She pushed me aside trying to open her big mouth.

I grabbed her arm and turned her back around towards me. "Maisie, I'm warning you." I started to get mad.

"Why are you doing this?" Carson butted in and he didn't look too happy.

"Because, if I'm not happy nobody can be." Was her response.

She turned back around towards Wyatt who looked at me with a worried look in his eyes. There wasn't anything I could say to him because I couldn't dare to hurt him. After I just agreed to take things to the next level this happens. Unfortunately, this was probably going to mark the end of our little saga. I don't think an apology was going to make up for the thing he was about to hear. In fact, he was most likely going to hate me.

Noticing I wasn't saying anything back to him, he looked at Maisie like he wanted to hear what she had to say. This was the first time in a long time that I was actually intimidated by her. I haven't been this afraid since sophomore year. That's only because she actually had dirt on me this time. Dirt that she knew I was never going to recover from. Had I known she would run her mouth I wouldn't have let her come in the first place.

"What's this all about?" Wyatt asked her looking between the both of us.

She smirked and got all excited like. "Well, Wyatt, while you were gone my ex boyfriend over here decided that he was going to kiss, Savannah." She let out like it was music to her ears to cause all this drama.

His face fell a little bit and I can tell it bothered him to the core. "Is this true?" He looked at me like he wanted me to deny everything.

I nodded my head looking away from him. I didn't want to speak. It was embarrassing enough and to top it off I looked like a fool. Carson just sat back and I can tell his blood was boiling too. No wonder he was running after her like that. Not to mention she called him her ex boyfriend. She must have broke up with him or the other way around because whenever a guy breaks up with her she stirs the pot.

Wyatt nodded his head as well and sighed heavily. "Is that all that's happened?" This time he looked at Maisie because he knew I wasn't going to say anything.

Though, I wasn't going to let her tell him that. I wanted to do it myself.

Pushing her roughly out of the way, I stepped up to him nervously. "No, Carson and I..." I trailed off a bit. "We hooked up too. The same night that we kissed. That wasn't the only time we kissed either." I grew the courage to speak about it to him.

Things got quiet between us as everybody just looked around awkwardly. I didn't look away from him though. Maisie already dropped the ball, I wasn't going to let her drop anything else to him. I needed to be the one to do it no matter how much he was going to hate me after this. All I could see is his eyes swelling which made me get tears in my eyes. I was so upset to see him like this. I can't believe I was causing all this heartache and for what?

Without saying another word, he stormed off and I followed right behind him. I couldn't let him leave without talking about it. I needed him to hear me out at least a little bit. Everything always came crashing down when it was getting good. I can't believe I did this to him and now he's hurt. I'm hurt because he's hurt, but I also know that this was my fault. It was going to kill me until he forgave me.

We made our way outside, but I stopped him before he was able to get into his car. "Wyatt, please wait!" I screamed after him.

He turned around and I can see the tears threaten to spill out of his eyes. "Why, Savannah? You've been using me this whole time!" He yelled at me.

It felt like my chest caved in, but I wasn't going to leave without speaking to him. "I wasn't using you, Wyatt. I really like you." I try to plead with him. "I made a mistake and I'm so sorry. I want you to forgive me, please."

I try to grab his hands, but he moved back from me. "I don't think you understand. You like me but I love you. I love you, but clearly it wasn't worth the hassle. We just weren't meant to be and I don't think I can friends with you either."

He hopped in his car and sped off down the street. All I could do was stand there and let the one little tear drop roll down my cheek as more began to come after that. I let things get carried away and finally lost him. It shouldn't have been a surprise, but it hurt like hell. Even though I can't say that I love him, he still meant a lot to me. He was really becoming my best friend and possibly could have been more. Why was I such an idiot?

I felt hands wrap around me and I looked up to see it was Cole. I was shocked to see him come out here and comfort me. Usually Carson or Violet would be the ones doing it. Nevertheless, I was happy that he came and hugged me. I needed it after this night turned into a complete disaster. Who knows if Wyatt would ever forgive me. There had to be a way that I can make it up to him. I just needed to think.

"Come on, we'll figure things out tomorrow." He said taking my hand.

I agreed and walked back inside with him. I didn't really enjoy the rest of the party either. When the count down happened I didn't even bother to participate in it. Everyone else seemed to have fun. We'll minus Carson who pretty much argued with Maisie the rest of the night. Things weren't going right for either of us. Even the party couldn't make up for all the bad things that's happened. Hopefully I could get Wyatt to forgive me.
