HARPER WAS CURRENTLY sitting at a table outside of the cafe by her hotel. harper was extremely nervous. what would she even say? what would sadie say? what would happen next?

she nervously played with her fingers, looking up every few seconds when she heard footsteps.

after a few minutes, she looked up and spotted her. sadie had her head down and her arms were crossed. harper's heart skipped a beat as the redhead looked up.

as soon as sadie looked up, harper noticed her
red swollen eyes. she frowned, confused as to why. her thoughts were interrupted as she heard her voice.

" hey. " sadie whispered, giving her a small smile.

" h-hi. "

sadie smiled at her once again and sat in the chair across from her.

" i'm just going to go right ahead and tell you everything. " she breathed out.

harper nodded, her heart beating tremendously fast.

" i-im in love with you. i have been for a long time. i was just so fucking scared. scared of what people would say. scared of what you would you say. that's why i was with grayson. fucked up, i know. but when i knew that you felt the same way, i felt so... relieved. because the truth is i'm completely in love with you, harps. "

harper couldn't believe it. she was in love with her too. sadie fucking sink was in love with her too. the girl she was completely in love with felt the same exact way.

harper felt so happy hearing those words come out of her mouth. she grinned at her widely, blush creeping up on her cheeks.

that was all she needed to hear.

" oh my gosh sa- "

" i-i'm not finished. " sadie said, looking down at the floor. harpers smile dropped, confused at her words.

" i-i do so many stupid shit for you, harps. i treated you like shit at first, and then i stringed grayson along for 6 fucking months! do you know how fucked up that is? i'm not like that at all, harps. " sadie eyes were welling up with tears, and she was fiddling with her fingers.

" w-what? "

" i-i'm just so fucking scared. i don't want to hurt you, harps. you mean the fucking world to me. but when i'm with you, i act like such a piece of shit and i hate it so fucking much. i'm not like that all. "

"w-what? you're not going to hurt me, sades. trust me, i-i been hurt before and i don't want to go through that again, but i'm willing to try... for you. " she responded, reaching for her hands. sadie pulled harper's hands from her, and looked down. harper's heart dropped, as she heard her sobbing.

" s-sadie? " harper whispered, but the redhead just sobbed harder as she heard her call out her name. " p-please say something. "

" i-i can't do this, harper. " sadies voice cracked, as she sobbed harder and harder.

harper's face dropped at her words, and she felt tears stream down her cheeks as she watched the redhead cry in front of her.

" n-no sadie. don't say that. w-we can make this work. let's talk and figure- "

" there's nothing to talk about, harper. " sadie sobbed, finally meeting harper's eyes. " we wouldn't work out, and you know it. "

" sadie please. " harper sobbed, trying to reach for sadie's hands once again, but the redhead pulled away coldly.

harper cried, calling out her name multiple times, but all harper heard was her small sobs.

as sadie slowly stood up, her face wet and her eyes swollen, harper quickly followed right behind her.

" sadie please don't do this. i can't lose you like this. p-please. " she cried out, but the redhead ignored her pleading eyes.

" goodbye, harper. " she whispered, her voice slowly cracking. she started walking away, painfully ignoring harper's desperate sobs.

harper called out her name again and again, but she didn't look back.

harper sobbed as she realized that the girl she was desperately in love with, the girl she cried for the most, the girl she longed for the most, was gone. she was gone forever.
