Beginning September 1 I started the LWFG system with a lot more gusto! In July I stayed with my parents on Long Island for almost a month and they fed me too well! New York pizza, rolls, bagels, cannolis, Carvel, rainbow cookies, Italian ices, donuts, fried calamari... I put on 5 pounds! I wrote this book over 10 years ago my metabolism has slowed about 4% and I have chronic Achilles tendinitis and walking is difficult. I'm not making excuses, I'm just being real here. My body is now comfortable around 130 pounds. (Listen to where YOUR BODY is comfortable.) I'm not 20 anymore so I don't expect to be 115 pounds... However, when I saw the scale pushing 140 I knew it was time to prove to myself and my loyal readers that this system works.

Midway point:
You may be wondering why am at McDonald's or other fast food joints so much... I try and walk every evening while my daughter and my husband rollerblade. Afterward we're thirsty or want a little snack. I usually join them. Not this month! I bring water with me. So far I've skipped 1530 calories and saved about 10$. I can already see a difference in the scale. It's sort of fun too!

I started roller skating! On my second night out I fell really hard on my butt! However, after resting the day I got back out there. I found this exercise to be challenging and fun. Try adding that instead of just taking away everything you enjoy. Find something active that you love to do. Whether it's rollerskating or dancing or Zumba!

By the end of the month:
I skipped 7,220 calories
I saved 52.34$ (I can't believe I saved this much $$)
I lost 2 pounds! (Makes sense cuz a pound is roughly 3500 calories)

If I did this for 12 months/one year
I'd save 86,640 calories
I'd lose 24 pounds
I'd save 628.08$ (I could go on an all inclusive vacation on Groupon or donate it to my favorite charity, or give it to my elderly parents... The point is: give away your fat! This did not hurt me. I ate basically what I wanted however, I would purposely not buy or get something at Dunkin' Donuts or a pretzel at Wawa... It's uncanny! This really works!
