I watched as my beautiful mate enjoyed her meal which was personally made by our head chef. I have known him since I was only a small pup and still his skills amaze me. I may be a prince but I'm not a cook

As I watched my gorgeous princess I couldn't help but let my thought wander free. She doesn't want a mate but that's the least of my problems. She is mine whether she likes it or not. But I was wondering how I was going to tell her.

As soon as I found out there was a white wolf the whole castle knew she was my mate as female royalty always has white wolves just like my mother. With royals, once we reach the age of 24 we only age one regular year ever 50 years. That is why my mother and father look so young but isn't unknown to the public

One I found out about her I made sure to find an excuse to talk to her which is why she was told to arrive Later to the dinner so she had no choice but to sit next to me. She was truly beautiful and was trying really hard to dress in the worst clothes she could and I could see that she hates the clothes she is wearing too.
When I found out she didn't want a mate I decided to play alone and agree with her so she can trust me. And I will tell you that my plan is working. She has been telling me about how she plans to escape and even how she was doing it.

Everyone knows she is the princess but I have given them strict orders not to address her by her title as she doesn't even know yet. Royal males can tell their mates straight away unlike others so the whole mating games are pointless to me. Ve however can't feel the bond yet as it needs time to grow for her.

My mother and father already love her as they have seen her once or twice and her bold attitude and strong will is everything they could want in their daughter-in-law.

Coming out of my thoughts I glanced back up to Veronica to see her on her phone playing some game. Her phone wasn't even the latest one which made me want to spoil her with all the luxury's in the world which I would do eventually

Seeing she had finished her meal I decide to try and start a conversation with my mate.

Just looking at her She really did suit the royal title as just looking at her screams power. Princess Veronica was the full name and title and boy did I love it for her.

"So Ve how is your plan going so far. Anything new" I asked wanting to know her plan so I can inform the guards so she can't escape

"Actually yes there is. During the events next week is the perfect opening for me to escape. My friends have their own plans and we are all going to meet each other at the front gate after we escape"

she said with a sly smile on her face. I could tell she was proud of her plan

Too bad I'm going to ruin it

"Not even been here a week and you are ready to leave all to soon" I reply to her

" no offense princy but I'm not about this lifestyle. The sooner I'm out the better"

With that, she got off her chair and walked over to her friend's table and started to chat and laugh with them

I probably should have felt bad that she didn't want this life but what could I do she was destined and made to be royal so she had no choice but to accept this.

Getting up from my seat I walk over to one of my personal guards. When I got closer to him I could see him straighten his posture as a sign of respect

"How may I help you, your highness," he said with a slight bow

" I want the whole palace under 24/7 surveillance at all costs. My mate is planning on escaping soon and I can't have any risks. She is a very smart woman" I state in my serious tone

The guard nods his head and turns his back to me and begins to talk through mind link to the other guards

" I informed the team your highness and they will be patrolling the castle grounds at all times due to your request"

After that, I walk off with a small grin on my face as I just prevented my little mate from escaping which will definitely piss her off

I make my way back to the dining room we're the mating games participants were situated. As I enter the room a group of girls walked up to me and I mentally scoffed

"Hello prince Benjamin I'm Katie. My father is beta of blood moon pack" she says in a flirty tone
I hated girls who approached me. They only wanted me for the title but they could never get it unless they were my mate. my whole life I was told to wait for my mate and now I found her I can understand why. 

"So prince Benjamin every one has been going around saying how you let Veronica call you by your name? Why even talk to her. She is no one. Maybe if we talked more I could be your mate" she says as she tries to walk closer to me as her friends giggled in the back

" guards take the slut away" I yell and In a matter of seconds they did as I commanded

Before the took her way I gave her a few last words

" for you information she is the daughter of the strongest packs alpha which beats you, stupid beta dad. So I suggest you keep your mouth such next time as I can have anyone Address me as I wish." I  yell at her as she had a scared face written all over her.

I saw that her friends were slowly backing away and with that the guards took her away back to her room out of my way. If anyone dared to insult my mate they should have another thing coming their way

All of a sudden we hear the sound of a microphone. I turn towards the sound to see my mother at the front with her classic smile one

"Good evening ladies and gentlemen I hope you are all settling down well. I'm here to announce the annual royal ball which is held here each year regardless of the mating games. Since the ball happens to be whilst the games are in progress you are all invited to the ball this year" my mother said with a big smile

She loved the annual ball and each year went full out decorating the castle

Before the continued, my mother mined linked me

"I just got one of the guards to take Veronica out of the room because I don't want her to here the next part or she might get suspicious," she said

I look at my mother who is at the front of the room with a puzzled look but nodded my head none the less

" as I was saying. The ball is very important to the royal family. All of you are required to wear red or white outfits and my son will be wearing black
As tradition for the the prince and future princess when my son finds his mate. I will make sure to have the maids deliver you an outfit of my choice"

she says before walking off down the room towards the doors which were opened for her

Now it made sense why she sent Veronica out, she didn't want her to hear about how only the prince and princess wear black clothing at the balls to indicate the future rulers. I'm presuming my mother wants her to wear a black dress.

As I thought to myself self it suddenly came to me that this was the perfect way for her to find out I'm her mate. Once she is at the ball it will be clear that she is the princess their for my mate

I mentally thanked my mother and with that, I left the room from all prying eyes of the female wolves

As I entered the royal section of the house whilst the mating games took place in my home I saw some maids come out of the room across from mine which will soon be Veronica's

It's called the princess suit and is one of the best rooms in the castle fit for a princess. My parents ordered the maids to get it ready for when Veronica moved into it. I felt bad for her staying in the other rooms that other contestants were sleeping in.
She deserved to have the best of the best but I didn't want to confuse her more then she is already so she will have to stay in the rooms for a few more days

After I finished looking I went into my room and retired for the night
