Haku slipped on his shirt. Guilt flushed throughout his whole body. If Chihiro were to find out what happened he may lose her forever. He turned over to Ai who was also getting dressed. She flipped her hair and Haku's marks were noticable on her neck.

"Ai. Please cover up the.." he said pointing to his own neck

"Yeah sure" she said and fixed her hair so the bruises werent visable.

"Wait a few minutes after I leave so no one will become suspicious" Haku said cautious ly before leaving the garden

Ai nodded.

Haku walked out of the garden. He felt so guilty. He waited all these years to meet chihiro again and he screws it up by havint an affair. Great

Haku walked into the bathhouse, there was nothing but silence. The place was clean and not a soul in sight. He could hear a faint noise coming from the kitchens and a cloud of black smoke leaving it.

"Nononononono" lin muttered

Haku walked in the room and held his nose "what happened? " he said frowning

Lin wiped the beads of sweat off her forhead "I was trying to make a cake for chihiro you know because her birthday is tomorrow" she said panicky

Birthday?

"Birthday??" Haku stuttered. He was such a fool how could he forget chihiros birthday.  He was bright red, god he was in such a weird state today.

"Yes her birthday. Its tomorrow shes turning 19 you know. My how fast times goes past. I still remember when she was small, whiny and ten years old" lin smiled

"Did you forget Haku?" Lin said

" ha!! No I didn't, I was just making sure you didnt forget. Of course I know when her birthday is! What kind of boyfriend would I be if I forget her birthday?" Haku said nervously rubbing the back of his neck.

"Mm well, you better hurry and get her something Haku you know woman arw very fussy with gifts and you needd to get something that she will really like"

Haku sighed "like what"

Lin leaned over and whispered

"A proposal"
