It was just another cloudy day here in Ohio. I was walking home from school. It was currently my last year and I was excited for graduation.
I finally arrive home and set my backpack on the bar. I take out my homework and look over it, wondering why my English teacher is making me write an essay about myself. Maybe she wanted to know more about her students? Or was it because this was merely my second year attending this school?
I placed my pencil against the paper and began to write;
"Hello, My name is Y/N L/N. I am currently 17 years old and living with my mom. I was born in Busan, South Korea. My mom wanted to move to the United States because things weren't going so well in Korea."
I looked at my paper, making sure things were spelled right. Then I continued.
"My current favorite music groups are Stray Kids, EXO, BTS, and TxT. They are Kpop groups. Since I did spend maybe 7 years living in Korea, I tend to understand the lyrics better."
I put my pencil down and pick up my buzzing phone. "Hello?" I answered.
"Y/N, are you home?" My mothers familiar voice asked.
"Yes, why?" I replied.
"I was just calling to let you know that your albums come today. I have to head back to work now. Love you." She hangs up.
Internally, I squealed. The albums I had ordered three weeks ago were coming today. I had ordered a Stray Kids album, two BTS albums, one EXO album and TxT's first album.
Soon, there was a knock at the door. I open it and the mailman is standing there, holding a box. He hands me the box and leaves. I shut the door.
I open the box carefully and squeal as I unwrap each album. There was another item that I didn't remember ordering. Turns out, it was a free gift. "Stray kids photocards? Yes please!" I smile and look through them, sorting them by member.
I take off my clear phone case and put my favorite card inside. Jisung.
Jisung had been my bias since I began listening to them. I take my albums and photo cards to my room. I set the albums on my display shelf and put the photo cards in a protectors case.
A few moments late the silence grew, which disturbed me, so I took out the cd from the SKZ album and put it in, listening with high volume.
I sing and dance to the song. "Hajime....stop it now." I sung.
To admit, I was an okay singer, not good enough to be an idol but it's okay.
Another few moments later, my phone lights up.
