o.3 : icon basics

The most basically basic thing you can do on ps and i'm sure you could PROBABLY do it on photopea. Most of everyone on here uses picsart for icons, me included but if you want to learn how to do the tumblr-type textured icons for your book or pfp here's the easy gist of it. I know for a fact there's a hundred and one tutorials on this but this is how i learned so let's breeze through it.

first find your photo and put custom adjustments on or just a psd.
Here's our photo, i'm going to be making matching icons and we'll be using lvcifcrs oo1 psd on deviant & the psd from previous chapters.

after you have that psd or adjustments on go the the layers drop down menu and flatten your image, it will compress all the open layers into one making it easy to copy.

Now for the icon making part. click the select drop down menu, then all, then the edit drop down menu and copy. Now make a new document sized 128 x 128 for wattpad pfp sizes or 158 x 158 for what I like as a book graphic size & 150 x 150 as a solid icon size.

so to make it clear
128 x 128 - wattpad pfp
150 x 150 - general icon size
158 x 158 - square graphic size.
