Been a minute since i have updated here, if there's typos don't come for me I'm tired 😔I started on a promo for wintcrscldicr
a while ago and never got around to finishing it until today. It's fairly simple but it turned out nice so I'm going to briefly go over the layers & psds used, maybe you'll get some inspiration from the two different ideas here.
I'm sure you could do something on a smaller scale in photopea.
Even picsart with a lot of preparation minus the gif overlays.

Okay these layers look real crazy but let's go by colors. I don't remember the sizing I used for the promo but I'll look into it and edit this chapter. I also got the gif overlays either from a pack on deviantart or tumblr. I can't remember exactly who but again, I'll edit this when I find out.

RED: for this specific thing I cut out a lot of stuff. Both shields so I could clipping mask the BLUE gif overlays "falling sparkle" onto them. If you noticed, I selected then cut out the arm & the side there to add a white gradient, the vision for that was to put gifs on just the gradient & set it on a blend move but I didn't like how it looked. ( I don't have the specifics on the settings I used for the gradient right now.)

PASTEL PINK : if you're tired of just flat text & want to try something new try curving your text

Write out your text, click the T, on the toolbar at the top click the T over an arch on the far right. It'll take you to a new window, pick arch at the first thing, for my text I did +100 once and that was it.
Transform your text and move it around until it looks how you want it to. It can be real irritating with curved text when one curve looks higher than the other so you'll probably have to mess around with it for a hot minute.

I always add a 3.4 Gaussian blur to my text on most promos  because I like the glow. I didn't do that on the one below but I did on the curved text.
Just duplicate the text layer <filter < blur < Gaussian blur.

Alright let's talk edit specifics. Because of how my layers were ordered I put the black bar over both Buckys and made lowered the opacity, rasterized it so I could erase out his fist ( and make it as clean as possible)to make it stand out.  For the text no glow but I did rasterize that as well so I could erase around it. It didn't get the full username I was going for but I think it looks pretty good regardless. I also did it like this so I wouldn't have to put the text below any psd layers and change the appearance.

This one I pretty much explained with the curved text but I did rasterize the text to erase and follow the outline I was going with

I'll probably go back and fix it but I wanted to post this today and get it off my mind.

Sorry for the speediness and severe lack of really explaining how to do every single thing. Honestly this was meant as inspiration, I encourage you to just go in and mess around to learn the controls and what looks good. Regardless of where you choose to edit, picsart, photopea, etc. So if you have any questions on how I did what, how I got to where, or just general questions feel free to pm me or comment!
Hopefully I'll get more active making inspiration posts like this or a graphic shop.
