"So you're telling me that you didn't have sex with Michael? No way!"

Currently, I was forced to go on a shopping trip with my roommate Roxie and her friend Maya. I didn't even like shopping but Roxie thinks it'll be good for me to get out more. Truth be hold, I don't like going to places that have a lot of people, it makes me nervous. But Roxie thinks that by exposing me to things I don't like, it'll help me get used to it. Kinda like how they help people get over phobias.

I trailed behind them playing some kind of sandwich stacking game on my phone while they picked out clothes to go somewhere tonight.

"It's so embarrassing. I brought him home after a party last night and when I woke up, he was helping me to the bathroom to vomit." Maya cackled at her.

I don't even know why she was friends with her, she's a terrible friend. Something about being bffs since high school but I'll still never understand their dynamic. Much to Roxies dismay, Maya and I never got along, she's prissy, rich, stuck up and I'm none of the above. Plus, I think she's got something against Hispanics, not that she'll ever admit it out loud.

"He said that as soon as he took his clothes off, I was passed out and he was too drunk to drive so he stayed."

At least he was nice about it

Usually they just take my advice and run, some of them flirt with me if I catch them.

"Do you need any new clothes Connie?" I look up from my game to look at Roxie who had asked the question.

"Nope, I'm good."

"You sure about that?" Maya jested at my current outfit. A white shirt tied in the front, black skinny jeans cut at the knees, all black converse and a pale pink long sleeved cover up.

"You sure you really want to mess with me?" I threatened, my fist balling up which made her take a step back.

"Okay guys, we're probably all hangry, let's go get something to eat."

****

"Are you sure you don't want to come party with us?" Roxie did her best pout face.

"Positive, have fun."

As usual Roxie tried her best to get me to go out with her on the weekends and as usual I shut her down. If malls kind of freaked me out then I'm sure that at a party I'll have a complete melt down.

Thanks no thanks

Instead I'm stuffing cookie dough ice cream into my mouth and watching one of the Fast and Furious movies. I had gotten to the part where Brian walks into the sandwich shop when the doorbell rings. It was only 10:44pm so I know it wasn't Roxie who lost her keys again, normally she doesn't show up till about 2am. I threw on a long sleeved shirt over my sports bra and some sweatpants when the doorbell rang again. Quickly I grabbed my firearm that I kept hidden under the coffee table.

Hey, better safe than sorry

I looked through the peephole and immediately tucked my gun behind me in the waistband of my sweats. I opened the door and it was the boxer guy from last night. If he was drool worthy then, he's definitely drool worthy now that he trimmed his beard.

"Roxie isn't here, I think she's at some party or club."  I informed him.

"I didn't specifically come to see her, I think I left my jacket in her room last night." I turned around to go to her room. "Why do you have a gun? Did you plan on shooting me?" I couldn't help but laugh.

"It depended on what was going to come out your mouth this time." I quickly grabbed the jacket that was in her room and handed it back to him.

"I didn't properly introduce myself, I'm Michael." He stick his hand out and I gripped it firmly. A habit of being in the military.

"Connie."

"A beautiful name for a beautiful girl."

I couldn't help my throw my head back into a full on laugh. "Does that line ever work?"

"Sometimes, depending on how desperate they are."
He jokes as he sits down in front of the television.

"What are you doing?"

"Shhhh ... my favorite part is coming up."
