She scoffed and folded her arms, looking away from Steven.

"Weren't you with the diamonds?"
Spinel doesn't say anything.
"They said you just ran off..."
Steven adds to his statement.
"I might've..."
She says something close enough to the truth.
"Come on Spinel... They sounded really worried..."

"Spinel are you okay?"
Steven interrupted her thoughts again, she had zoned out and it worried him.
"Y-yeah, what makes you say that?"
She stuttered, narrowing her eyes and looking dead straight into his.
"...well you were basically staring into space after I mentioned the diamonds."
"And who cares!?"
Spinel yells at Steven, her mood changing suddenly, she didn't even know why she became mad so adrubtly
"I do!"
Steven yells back
"I do Spinel! I care! So stop pretending nothing's happened and tell me the truth!"

You ruin everyones happiness
He doesn't care

Meanwhile, Spinel hadn't noticed how fast her expression had changed again. She felt sad. Very, sad. Tears had now threatened to fall.
Soon she had pulled Steven to where she was sitting up and hugged him tightly, like he would dissapear if she let go.
One tear turned into another, and another turned into crying, and crying turned into sobbing.
There she was, hugging Steven and crying into his shirt like a baby.
"Im s-sorry ... I.. I never meant to-- I'm sorry Steven! I never meant for anything to happen... I'm so sorry-"
Steven let her hug him, but was rather confused. She looked like she was going to blow his head off five seconds ago, now she was crying? She was fine when she woke up...
That's not right
That can't be right
Something was up, and he was going to find out.
